AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Perched atop a hillock called Devagiri — literally "God's Hill" — in the heart of Banashankari, this temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara and crowned by a 108-foot Rajagopura said to be the tallest temple tower in Bengaluru.↗↗
Built in the late 1970s by a local community trust, the temple replicates the Tirumala pilgrimage experience for devotees who cannot travel to Andhra Pradesh. Its ornately carved, colorful entrance gates, spacious mantapas, and daily ritual schedule follow the same Vaishnava traditions as the original Tirupati shrine.↗↗↗
The temple draws a loyal following — thousands queue from before dawn to late night during Vaikunta Ekadashi — while offering free parking, wheelchair access, and the serene atmosphere of a garden-ringed hilltop retreat amid a bustling residential neighborhood.↗↗
