AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Al-Aman Family Fun Beach Resort — Musayf al-Aman wal-Marh al-A’ili — is a modest, family-run seaside entry point on the sandy coast of Tajoura, the long beach district some 25 km east of central Tripoli. It belongs to a very Libyan institution: the مصيف, a managed stretch of shore where you pay a small admission, rent shade and deckchairs, and let the day stretch out between the water, the sand and a low table with family around it. Nothing here is designed to impress; it is designed to be used.↗↗
Visitors describe a clean beach with tents, tables and chair-and-umbrella rental, and a straightforward family atmosphere — the kind of place Tripoli households drive out to on a hot weekend rather than a destination that demands a plan. Its middling 3.7 rating from 74 reviews says the same thing honestly: expect simple facilities and a good sea, and come with cash and realistic expectations.↗↗
