AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Park Vega Waterpark, set along the Benin-Asaba Expressway near the town of Agbor in Nigeria's Delta State, is the largest international-standard waterpark in West Africa. Opened in 2020 and accredited by both IAAPA and the World Waterparks Association, it has become a magnet for families, thrill-seekers and curious travellers who want a world-class splash day without leaving the country.↗↗
With fifteen attractions spread over 13,000 square metres, the park ranges from a thundering 1,500 m² wave pool to a zero-depth kids' zone fitted with more than fifty interactive water elements. Whether you are chasing an adrenaline rush or simply want to float with a cocktail at the swim-up bar, Park Vega delivers a full day of fun.↗↗
The Wave Pool and Pools for Every Mood
The centrepiece is the wave pool: 1,500 square metres holding close to half a million gallons of water, advanced pneumatic systems generate ocean-like swells up to a metre high. Visitors of all ages and swimming abilities can bob and body-roll in what the founders describe as an experience that transcends a beach resort. For a calmer vibe, the meandering Relax Pool sits at a gentle 1.2 m depth and includes a swim-up bar where you can order cocktails and mocktails without leaving the water.
