Tabarganak
Tabarganak (تبرغنک) is a mountain ravine and river valley in the Jaghori highlands of central Afghanistan, set in the rugged Hazarajat terrain around Sang-e-Masha. Classified as a ravine and rated an impressive 4.8 by the few visitors who have logged it, it is the kind of remote, green-walled valley that draws people seeking wild mountain scenery far from the usual tourist trail. Its name is tied to water: the river that bears it is formed where the streams of the Almitow and Malestan valleys meet near Kharbid, then runs on through the Sang-e-Masha valley before joining the Arghandab River. Tabarganak is also a recognised local settlement-region of Jaghori, so the ravine, the flowing river and the mountain villages belong to the same landscape.
