Bjellandsvatnet
Bjellandsvatnet is a small, nutrient-rich lake on the west coast of Norway that has earned national protection as one of the country's finest wetland bird habitats. Designated a nature reserve in 1995, it supports breeding populations of teal, mallard, Eurasian wigeon and the rare horned grebe, and hosts a purpose-built bird observation tower. A well-marked walking trail follows the outflowing river to a neighbouring lake, making it an easy half-day outing for nature lovers.
