Sandy Island
Sandy Island is that daydream of a place a child sketches in crayon: a thin sliver of brilliant white sand, a wind-tossed line of coconut palms, and water in every shade of turquoise and cobalt. Barely a kilometre off the west coast of Carriacou, part of Grenada, this uninhabited cay is small enough to walk end to end in under ten minutes yet stays one of the most coveted day-trip and sailing stops in the southern Grenadines. There are no buildings, no beach bar and no footprints but your own-just reef, sand and sea.
