Lagoon Beach
Lagoon Beach wraps around the quiet southwest corner of Mustique, the small private island in St Vincent and the Grenadines. A long ribbon of soft, pale sand fronts warm, shallow, glass-clear water, backed by a screen of palms that gives the whole place a tucked-away, almost deserted feel even on a bright Caribbean day. What sets it apart from Mustique's more famous postcard bays is the gentle lagoon and mangrove that sit just behind the sand, threaded by a short nature trail. Swim in the calm shallows in the morning, then take the path at dusk when the birds come in—few places pair a beach day and a wildlife walk so easily.
