Bowal Kenieoula
Bowal Kenieoula is a mountain peak rising to approximately 898 metres in Tougué Prefecture, on the western flank of Guinea's Fouta Djallon highlands. It is ranked the twelfth-highest named summit in the Labé Region, yet has no recorded climbs and no tourist development — a silent landmark in one of West Africa's most dramatic but least-visited landscapes. Its Pular name suggests deep roots in Fulani pastoral geography; the Fouta Djallon is the historic homeland of the Fulɓe, whose cattle trails, terraced gardens and thatched compounds stretch across every ridge and valley in this part of Guinea.
