Doubská hora
Doubská hora (also known by its German name Aberg) is the highest point of the forested ridge above Karlovy Vary's spa district, crowned since the mid-19th century by a landmark observation tower. At 612 metres above the Březová Reservoir, it offers one of the finest panoramic viewpoints over the spa town and the surrounding Slavkov Forest, Ore Mountains, and Doupov Hills. The peak is reached by well-marked blue tourist trails winding through Karlovy Vary's celebrated spa forests — the same woodland paths that spa guests have strolled for nearly two centuries. While the historic Aberg tower itself is currently closed to the public, the walk to the summit remains one of the most rewarding excursions from the city, passing a Russian Orthodox chapel, a monument to Peter the Great, and the atmospheric ruins near Svatý Linhart.
