Hårfagrehaugen
Hårfagrehaugen is a 304-metre mountain peak on Kongsøya, the largest island in Kong Karls Land — a remote archipelago in easternmost Svalbard. Named after Harald Fairhair, the first King of Norway, this small summit sits within the Nordaust-Svalbard Nature Reserve and belongs to one of the most strictly protected areas in the entire Arctic: since 1985, all human traffic to Kong Karls Land has been forbidden to safeguard the world's most important polar bear denning grounds.
