Baie de Grand Case
Baie de Grand Case is a gently curving, sheltered bay on the northwest coast of French St. Martin, where an old fishing village has grown into one of the Caribbean's most celebrated dining destinations. The bay's calm, clear waters stretch about 1.6 kilometres along soft sand, bordered on one side by the lively Boulevard de Grand Case and framed on the horizon by the tiny island of Anguilla. What makes this bay special is the effortless blend of natural beauty and culinary culture: in the morning you can snorkel over coral reefs with sea turtles just offshore, and by evening you're sharing a long French dinner at a table overlooking the water, with grilled fish and ti' punch perfuming the air from a dozen open-air grills. The whole scene still feels human and unhurried — a village that has somehow preserved its authentic Creole character while earning a reputation as the Gourmet Capital of the Caribbean.
