Neringa
Neringa is Lithuania's most extraordinary coastal destination — a string of four fishing villages strung along the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO-listed sand peninsula between the Baltic Sea and a vast lagoon. Towering white dunes, pine forests, colorful wooden houses, and long empty beaches define a landscape found nowhere else in the country. Reached only by a short ferry crossing from Klaipėda, this narrow strip of land feels like a world apart. The municipality comprises Nida, Juodkrantė, Preila, and Pervalka — each with its own quiet character. Whether you climb a 52-metre dune at sunset, cycle through pine corridors between villages, or eat smoked eel by the harbour, Neringa rewards visitors who slow down and let the landscape set the pace.
