Black Sands Beach
Black Sands Beach sits on Grenada's wild east coast near the small community of Belair in Saint Patrick Parish, where volcanic minerals have ground centuries of eruptions into fine, dark sand that stretches along the Atlantic shoreline. Unlike the island's well-known resort beaches on the southwest coast, this secluded spot rewards visitors with dramatic color contrasts — deep charcoal sand against warm sea water — and a genuine sense of remoteness. It is recognized in the diving community as a point dive site with comfortable temperatures year-round.
