AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Sunset Beach is the local name for the Stubb's Point public access to Leeward Beach on the northeast coast of Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. Known for its powder-soft white sand, strikingly turquoise water, and spectacular sunsets casting color across the bay, it offers the same world-class Caribbean scenery as nearby Grace Bay with a fraction of the visitors.↗↗↗
Tucked into the upscale Leeward residential community just ten minutes from Grace Bay's resort strip, this beach is part of Princess Alexandra National Park and remains one of the island's best-kept secrets for travelers who want pristine coastline without the crowds.↗↗
What Makes Sunset Beach Special
The name says it all. From the Stubb's Point access, the sun drops across the bay behind the higher ground to the west, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange, pink, and purple that reflect off calm turquoise waters. As ocean swell picks up, the water in this stretch can glow a vivid neon turquoise — a color produced by suspended limestone particles, similar to what gives Chalk Sound its famous hue.
