AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Stretching 120 meters along the perimeter wall of Wat Kaew Korawaram, Krabi's temple street art is a vibrant open-air gallery created to celebrate the city's 150th anniversary. Painted by local artists, the murals bring color and storytelling to Maharaj Road, transforming what might otherwise be an ordinary temple boundary into one of Krabi Town's most photogenic spots.↗
Free to visit at any hour, the artwork pairs naturally with a stroll up the grand nāga-lined staircase into the temple itself, or an evening wander through the nearby Walking Street market — making this a cultural anchor in the heart of Krabi Town.↗↗
A Celebration in Paint
In 2022, to mark 150 years since the founding of Krabi, a team of local artists under the banner "Ma-Yha Krabi Street Art" took over the long boundary wall of Wat Kaew Korawaram and turned it into a continuous visual narrative. The murals span roughly 120 meters and depict scenes drawn from the region's heritage, daily life, and natural landscape — everything from temple culture to the limestone karsts that define the Andaman coast.↗
