AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Set against a backdrop of Caribbean palm trees, the brightly coloured pink-and-white Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir in Longdenville serves as the headquarters of ISKCON Trinidad and Tobago. It is one of the Caribbean's most vibrant Hindu temples and a welcoming spiritual home for the island's large Indo-Trinidadian community and beyond.↗↗
Visitors describe the temple as a place of peace, colour, and genuine warmth. Whether you come for a Sunday feast, an early morning arati, or simply to experience the atmosphere of Hare Krishna devotion in the Caribbean, the temple opens its doors to everyone.↗↗
A Temple Rooted in the Caribbean
Trinidad and Tobago has one of the largest Hindu populations in the Western Hemisphere, a legacy of the Indian indentured labourers who arrived in the nineteenth century. The Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir in Longdenville, a small town on the southwest coast of Trinidad, stands as the flagship temple of this tradition — the national headquarters for ISKCON's work across both islands. Its deity, Gopinath (Krishna as the Lord of the Gopis), paired with Radha, represents the loving devotion at the heart of the Gaudiya-Vaishnava tradition that ISKCON carries worldwide.
