Best location in Puno. Large, spacious rooms with comfy beds. Good shower pressure with plenty of hot water. Breakfast buffet was vast and delicious. If you are coming in with a car, you will have to park temporarily in one of the nearby streets as you cannot drive into the Plaza. Walk to the hotel and the staff will send an attendant with you to take you to their parking area located about 300 metres away and they will help you with your luggage from there if you wish. Great service.

Centrally located at the place des Armas and the Lima road, which is the pedestrian zone with shops and restaurants. Checking was fast for our group of 6. The room is ok in size, we had two beds, rather single beds then queen size. The room and bathroom were clean but dated. WiFi works ok fast. No water cooker or fridge in the room. In the lobby is a coffee maschine (payable) and free hot water, tea and coca leaves. Part of our tour, we had the dinner included and could choose from 3 starter and 4 mains. After having delicious food in Lima, Amazonas lodge, Urubamba valley, Matchu Pitchu and Lima, this was very disappointing. The pumpkin soup was nice just missing some salt, my chicken breast was very tender, but the spaghetti with pesto were at least 10 min overcooked.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting Lake Titicaca. I was initially hesitant to book because of some mixed reviews I had read, but I am so glad we did! Our experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend it.|​HIghlights:|​Location & Room: The location is incredibly convenient, right in the city center. We had a room on the 4th floor with a wonderful view of the Cathedral and the main Plaza de Armas from our balcony. Despite being in a central location, our room was surprisingly quiet, which made for a very restful stay.|​Cleanliness & Comfort: The room was very clean and well-maintained. We had a great experience with the hot water—it was consistently hot with good pressure, which is a huge plus in the Andes! The provided heater was also much appreciated for the chilly nights.|​Breakfast: The breakfast was excellent. It was a proper meal with scrambled eggs, a variety of juices, fresh fruits, and different types of bread. It was a great way to start our busy days of sightseeing.|​Amenities: I really appreciated the free filtered water and coca tea available in the lobby. This was not only a thoughtful touch but also very helpful for staying hydrated and acclimating to the altitude.|​Service & Staff: The hotel's reception and administration staff were incredibly helpful. They assisted me in booking our tours and transfers in advance, and the prices were very reasonable. Their support made planning our trip so much easier.|​Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations and was a great value. It provided a perfect, comfortable base for our time in Puno and at Lake Titicaca.

We had a terrible experience in ths hotel: First, the violation of our privacy, intimacy, security, and rest, when a hotel EMPLOYEE broke into our room at 6 a.m., turned on the light, and woke us up scared, as he entered unexpectedly and without warning. This is intolerable and unacceptable. There was also a recording team in the room next door, which made too much noise and blocked our entrance to the room with people and recording equipment. They were completely disrespectful, and the hotel did nothing to ask them to keep the noise down. The heating does not work in the room; if you turn it off, it stays on. When I asked at reception if they could turn it off, they told me that they would have to turn off two floors of the building and it would affect several rooms.

While the property shines with its historic charm and prime location, the overall experience is mostly positive, though not without a few minor drawbacks like tiring rooms and weak breakfast options LOCATION:This hotel’s location is one of its biggest assets. Situated right in the Plaza de Armas, you’re in the middle of Puno’s vibrant cultural hub. The main square is just steps away, making it easy to visit local attractions like the Cathedral of Puno and the bustling markets. Being centrally located means you're within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and even some tour agencies, which is convenient for those looking to explore the area on foot. A potential downside is that due to the busy nature of the location, you might experience some street noise, especially in the evenings. DINE + DRINK: The hotel features a simple but inviting dining area. The breakfast offered includes a variety of options, such as eggs, fresh fruit, bread, and local specialties. It’s a decent start to the day, though the selection could be a bit more varied. ROOM: We stayed in Room 304 , so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Spectacular views of the main square, cathedral, and the mountains from the cute little balcony attached to the room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: OK quality toiletries, bring your own! FACILITIES: No Gym or pool on site SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Small TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages
