This hotel was perfect for my four day stay in Queenstown. Completely taken aback by the incredible views from the balcony. The comfort of the beds has made me reevaluate my mattress at home. Check in and stay was all made perfect and possible by Harry who was the most polite and competent host you could ask for. He does an incredible job of putting out hot breakfasts for hosts and even put together a little tray for us on the day we were headed out especially early. Anyone afraid of the cold need not worry, heaters abound and the rooms are well insulated. Being a short walk out of town made for quiet nights and beautiful views. Would definitely return!

A great wee spot, location is great and just slightly out of the chaos of the main street! The room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. What really stood out were the staff who went above and beyond to make it a wonderful stay. Super lovely and accommodating. Thank you so much Harry!

A modest room but so homely. Harry was so lovely and thoughtful and made us feel special. Breakfast was lovely, the price was good and the view from our room was spectacular. The location may not be for you if you have mobility issues (considering it’s up a bit of a hill), but if not, I couldn’t recommend more.

We had a fantastic stay, and our host, Shashank, was instrumental in making it so comfortable and welcoming! The personalized à la carte breakfast was a wonderful highlight, perfectly catered to our tastes each morning. Our room was impeccably clean, and the view from it was absolutely excellent. A truly wonderful experience that we highly recommend!"

We had a group of 6 couples stay 3 nights and we can not say enough about the service!Harry went above and beyond to make our stay so pleasant.The hotel is a little hike from the main downtown area and is a small boutique hotel but the service from Harry makes it a 5star, also the breakfast was excellent.Thanks again Harry for all your hard work and your hospitality, it was amazing.From all your Canadian friends!

My flight to New Zealand was cancelled due to severe weather warnings, and no alternative flights were available. This was completely beyond my control, yet the Chalet Hotel still charged me for the full three nights of my booking. A one-night cancellation fee would have been understandable, but charging for all three nights is unreasonable and feels like pure greed. When I contacted the hotel, the staff showed no flexibility, understanding, or empathy — their attitude was essentially “too bad.” I have stayed at many hotels over the years and have never experienced such dismissive treatment. Because of this experience, I will never stay here again and strongly recommend that others look elsewhere.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. The room was clean and comfortable with good amenities and an excellent view. The breakfast area was very nice and more resembled a boutique hotel. Breakfast quality was fabulous. Strongly recommend this chalet!
