Cleanliness is poor - the bowls in the service apartment was stained from the previous guest but put into the cupboard for our use. There was a constant bad smell in the toilet probably from the pipes. Our bedroom had short 3-4 steps up from our door - troublesome to load our luggage in/out.Amenities wise there was everything we needed, appreciate the separate washer/dryer. and the hot tub/pool was amazing.Service is ok - reception tried to upsell us to pay for an upgrade to 2 bedroom apartment even though there were only two of us.

My wife and I had an amazing time! Excellent service by the staff! Sulayman, Anna and the rest of the crew. They made our stay very pleasant, ski and trip to Milford sound arrangements were very easy thanks to then. Then breakfast buffet was great, good coffee. The rooms were excellent. Got the lake side residences view with kitchen. Beautiful view and the hotel has an easy access to get to town with the water taxi every hour. Gym could be improved though (decent treadmill and free weights) Aside from that everything was amazing. Will definitely go back

Location: (4.5/5)|The hotel sits on the southern shore of Lake, not far from the airport. The lakefront scenery is absolutely gorgeous – perfect for peaceful strolls with breathtaking views of the mountain range. The main trade-off: it's a 15-minute water taxi ride into central Queenstown. The water taxi costs $14 NZD one-way, but you can buy a Bee Card at the front desk ($5 card fee) and then tickets are only $10 NZD each. One card can be used for multiple people, so it's worth grabbing if you plan to go into town more than once. While the water taxi adds a small logistical step, the journey itself is scenic and pleasant, plus you'll avoid the madness of Queenstown's parking situation. Room: (4/5)|Spacious, clean, and with spectacular lake views. The bed itself is comfortable, though the pillows are a letdown – not quite the plush support you'd expect at this level. Bathroom is spacious, with a good-sized shower and nice water pressure. The bathtub, however, has a frustrating quirk – the water doesn't get properly hot. Lukewarm at best, which is disappointing if you're hoping for a soak after a day outdoors. Dining: (4.5/5)|The hotel has two restaurants, and both serve great food. The main restaurant features an outdoor area with a circular sofa seating zone around a central fire pit – a fantastic spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drink while taking in the lake views and mountain air. Breakfast offers a good variety with solid flavour and quality. The Asian options on the buffet are less impressive, but the overall spread is satisfying. Staff at breakfast were attentive and efficient. Service: (5/5)|Service is a genuine highlight. A standout was the Asian girl at reception with long eyelashes (I regret not catching her name) – she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. All requests were responded to quickly and efficiently, and every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly and professional. There was a handwritten welcome card, along with chocolate and a bottle of red wine in the room – thoughtful touches that made the stay feel personal. Overall: 4.5/5|Hilton Queenstown delivers stunning scenery, spacious rooms, and consistently warm service. The location is peaceful and beautiful – while it's not walkable to town, the water taxi adds to the charm (and the Bee Card makes it affordable). The food is solid, the welcome touches are appreciated, and the service is top-notch. A few minor gripes but neither significantly detracted from an otherwise wonderful stay.

We stayed in a lakeside two bedroom apartment at Hilton. The room was spacious with stunning lake and mountain views. The staff were nice and welcoming. Rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel located across the lake from the town but you can go to the town center in 10 minutes by water taxi, which is convenient. There are resorts facilities in the hotel such as the gym, pool/spa/sauna which makes our stay more relaxing compared with staying at a lakeside airbnb as we did before. There’s an award winning spa on site where luxurious massage services are provided but you need to book in advance. The only downside is the buffet breakfast is very much the same every day but there are lots of good cafes in the town so it’s not necessarily to eat breakfast in the hotel every day. We are happy with our stay in general and we’re planning to choose Hilton again for next trip.

I had high expectations for this hotel given the Hilton brand and the price, but unfortunately the experience did not meet those expectations. We paid close to NZ$2,500 for a six-night stay in a King Deluxe Room with Lake View, but due to major flight disruptions beyond our control (including a diversion and cancellation), we did not arrive until two days later. I called the hotel on 25 June (which was also my 30th birthday) to explain the situation. While I understand the booking terms meant we still had to pay for the missed nights, it was disappointing to lose over NZ$800 without any acknowledgment or gesture of goodwill, especially given the circumstances. The room itself was much smaller than expected for a “deluxe” category and felt fairly average considering the price point and advertised room type. During our stay, there were also service issues that impacted comfort. On our final night there was no hot water after a long day travelling, which meant we were unable to properly relax. By the time it was restored, it was too late and we were too exhausted to make use of it. For a hotel of this standard, this was particularly disappointing. On a positive note, the staff were generally friendly and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine provided in the room. However, overall the experience did not reflect a luxury stay or the expectations set by the room category and price. We are currently staying at La Quinta by Wyndham in Queenstown for around half the price and have had a significantly better experience in terms of space, comfort, and value. While I understand policies are policies, I don’t feel the overall experience matched the cost or reputation of the hotel, and I would be unlikely to stay here again.

My second stay at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa, and once again, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. This property is truly a perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand’s South Island. A special mention to the front desk agent, Ms.Johara, who was incredibly thoughtful, warm, and sweet. She went above and beyond to make my birthday stay in Queenstown extra special and absolutely perfect. Her genuine kindness and attention to detail made me feel so welcomed and appreciated. The service throughout the property was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The team in the restaurant were wonderful as well, and a special thank you to the lovely breakfast host who was exceptionally kind and made our mornings even more enjoyable. And the hot chocolate deserves a special mention absolutely delicious and perfect for the winter weather! With its beautiful surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, wonderful hospitality, and genuinely caring staff, Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa is a place I would happily return to again and again. Thank you to the entire team, especially Ms. Johara, for making my birthday stay so memorable. Highly recommended!

A fantastic place to stay if you want to experience Queenstown’s incredible lake and mountain scenery. The peaceful waterfront location offers breathtaking views that you simply won’t get from hotels in the town centre. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast had a good selection and felt much more in line with what you would expect from a premium hotel. Although it’s slightly removed from central Queenstown, the quieter setting was a major advantage for us. It provided the perfect balance between easy access to town and a relaxing escape surrounded by nature. Overall, Hilton Queenstown delivered exactly the type of scenic and relaxing Queenstown experience we were hoping for.

Our stay at Hilton Queenstown was truly wonderful. The hotel’s location offers spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains, creating a beautiful setting that made our visit even more memorable. The room was well-appointed, impeccably clean, and very comfortable throughout our stay. The highlight of our experience was the exceptional level of service. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and eager to assist whenever needed. Their professionalism and genuine care for guests made us feel appreciated from the moment we arrived until the day we left. We would especially like to thank Manager Mr. Hayat for his dedication and commitment to ensuring guests have the best wonderful experience. His welcoming attitude and strong leadership were evident in the consistently high standard of service delivered by the staff. Hilton Queenstown is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable getaway in Queenstown. We had a fantastic experience and would happily return again in the future.
