It isn't a resort! It's a really nice motel with some extra facilities like mini golf, pool etc. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. You can park close to your room which is always good. Our Superior room was very large with well equipped kitchenette, a seating area and table. Plenty big enough for breakfasts, preparing lunches and eating takeaway meals. There's no restaurant or car on site. The bed was very comfortable, bath towels large, bathroom very big with hydro bath and shower. It was very clean and well maintained. The small seating area is outside the door, so not ideal but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. WiFi was free and worked fine. Overall, a great place to stay for a few days.

This was billed as a five star resort when I booked it, but I fail to see where that rating comes from . It is more of a very upmarket motel. Our room was spacious and clean, and so was the bathroom with a jacuzzi, but for the rest the amenities were average. The notion of 5***** accommodation is associated with a superiour type of comfort as far as I am concerned.

Bit more of a motel than an hotel but good location, friendly guy on reception, comfortable beds with lovely cotton sheets, huge bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer and robes. Large bath but definitely not a spa!! Small but nice swimming pool. Unfortunately, no bar or restaurant but facilities in the hotel next door. Good for families with children - playground and mini golf. Would visit again. Impressed with Rotorua!

We booked the 3 bedroom 2 bathroom suite, and we were not disappointed!!! Spacious entry way, large sitting area, renovated and fully functional kitchen, updated bathrooms, and heated bathroom floors! The beds were exceptionally comfy - my wife even took a picture of the brand! A wonderful place to unwind during our vacation!

Incredible value, really spacious rooms with everything you need and the on site activities are great for filling time between activities if you're going around the Rotorua area. Great location for it and the parking was a huge plus. Really friendly staff who made us feel welcome and helped us plan some activities in the area. Decent sound proofing as well and great bed. Zero complaints will definitely come back next time.

The room was really clean and nicely updated, including a kitchenette, a huge spa tub, and open shower. Didn’t use the other facilities on site, but nice to have so many options for activities! The receptionist at the front desk was so kind and helpful! She provided great suggestions and tried her best to help us adjust our stay date when needed.

Fabulous facilities on site, rooms spacious and super comfortable bed. The spa bath is incredible. Staff very helpful with advice in local attractions. Small minus for the slippery bathroom floor (really needs attention) and having a full kitchen but very limited cooking utensils- we didn’t cook there so it didn’t bother us. Surprisingly quiet for being on the main road and our room was directly on it as well. Free parking on site and directly in front of our room was like finding gold dust in our NZ travels.

The regal palm resort is continently located in Rotorua with only a short drive to many attractions, restaurants and the lake. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had great facilities such as a kitchenette, spa bath, disabled room available on request. The resort offers mini golf, table tennis, a playground, a pool and free car parking making it great for families or those young at heart. The staff, especially Michelle, were friendly and very helpful. It was great value for money and perfect for our 4 night stay.
