Me and my partner had a great stay for 3 nights here. We booked the private sauna, went hunting for northern lights and did a short snowmobile session. The area is very beautiful and peaceful, ideally for a relaxing holiday. The owners were really friendly and accomodating. The included breakfast is very diverse and good, the dinner was also great.

We had such a nice time! The owners/staff are super friendly and kind. The place is perfectly isolated (for northern lights in the winter), by the frozen lake. Cozy and pleasant atmosphere. They offer various activities, would definitely recommend the snowmobile tour. Thanks for the great stay and thanks for the help fixing our car 👍

Serene environment in a quiet forest area with lake front. Note that it is self-serviced. Staff are amazing and helpful. Private sauna in the cabin made it extra worth it, especially in this -30C winter snow. Good for northern lights viewing.

We had an amazing stay at Palojärven Lomakeskus. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a couple. The highlight was definitely the private sauna inside the cabin, such a special experience after a cold day out. The cabin also had a fully functioning kitchen with all the appliances we needed, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. And the best part: because it’s far from the city lights of Rovaniemi, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from our stay. Truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Last December, I went to Finland for 8 days, and it was my first solo trip. I’m so glad I found this accommodation. It was just amazing—the peace and tranquility at the park was the best I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is great, very clean. The food was simple but truly delicious! All the people who work there are fantastic, each one super kind and always ready to help. Even the owner, Janne, is such a lovely man who did everything to make sure my stay was perfect. The rooms are a bit small but very cozy, and everything you need is available. A huge recommendation is to rent the hot tub with a sauna by the lake—HEAVENLY. You can take a lovely walk on the large frozen lake and then warm up with a coffee inside. It's also highly recommended to take a beautiful walk in the forest across from the park. It’s easiest to rent a car, as taxis are expensive and hard to find at the location. The owner will drive you to the city for a fee, which is much cheaper than the taxi prices. To summarize my story: if you love peace, nature, and simplicity, this is the perfect place to truly unwind! I hope to come back here someday, because it was my best vacation ever! Thank you, Team Palojärvi!

We had a wonderful stay at this Finnish lakeside resort. Our cottage offered a direct view of the lake, making the experience memorable. The location is outstanding for seeing the Northern Lights. The owners are very friendly. We had booked a snowmobile tour. Due to temperatures dropping below −33°C, they left the decision entirely up to us and refunded the tour without any discussion. We truly appreciated their integrity and transparency.

The Northern Lights are shining right above the hotel. Even at midnight, I can head to the kitchen for coffee, tea, milk, cocoa, water, soda, a fresh croissant, cornflakes, chocolate, cookies, or fruit like bananas, apples, and tangerines. It is pleasantly warm inside. In the shared living room, I can watch a movie or TV, listen to music, do puzzles, play board games or try out virtual reality. I can also surf the web or work with a decent internet connection all included in the room price. For a reasonable extra fee, you can go ice fishing, rent snow boots, ride a snowmobile, or use the jacuzzi and sauna. If you want more, you can visit the neighbors to feed the reindeer. The breakfast is stunning and delicious, and dinner is also available at the hotel for a great price. You can plug your car into an outdoor outlet for heating. The surroundings are beautiful with clean air, and the lake is just a stone’s throw away. You can even play the piano. The access road is good, the bed is excellent, and the room is spotless. You can truly feel that this place was built with heart; they did such a great job that you feel right at home
