One of the loveliest hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Our room was divine, looking over Mirabel Gardens. Housekeeping was spotless and thoughtful. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and a warm professional environment. Fr Maier front desk was delightful and so helpful. Fr Alexandra and Herr Karim were a joy at breakfast every morning (which was fabulous). Honestly not a negative comment to make

We had such an incredible time staying at Hotel Bristol in Salzburg with the family! The historic building itself is truly magnificent, full of charm and elegance from the moment you step inside. The location is an extremely perfect base for exploring the city, as you can easily walk to all the best sights without any hassle. Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond with outstanding service, always greeting us with a warm smile and great local tips. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and made for a fantatsic night of sleep after a long day of sightseeing. You also cannot miss spending an evening unwinding in the cosy piano bar with a drink while listening to live music. It really made our family holiday unforgettable, and we cannot wait to come back on our next trip to Austria!

Overall, this hotel was an average stay. The staff were the highlight of the experience and were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Unfortunately, the room itself had several issues. Our door was difficult to use, the bathroom lock was broken, the air conditioning barely worked and the room was uncomfortably hot, and the beds were not very comfortable. The breakfast was good, but the location was just okay and not especially convenient. While the excellent service made the stay more enjoyable, the room maintenance and comfort need improvement.

Visited with my family and initially found our room to be quite small, but everything changed the moment I walked past "The View" Suite (“The King Suite” as one of the staff retorted). It looked incredible, so I asked the concierge about upgrading and I’m so glad I did. Not only were they extremely helpful in arranging the upgrade, but I even ended up extending my stay by an extra night. The suite itself was absolutely stunning. One balcony overlooks Mozart’s house, and the other opens up to the breathtaking Mirabell Gardens where The Sound of Music was filmed. Waking up to those views felt surreal. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and truly one of the best we’ve ever stayed in across Europe, though I will say the price is definitely on the steeper side. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. They even directed us to nearby parking and provided a discount ticket, which was a thoughtful touch. If you’re visiting Salzburg and want a memorable, luxurious stay, "The View" Suite at Hotel Bristol is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

A truly first class experience at the Bristol Hotel in Salzburg. I stopped in for a cup of hot matcha tea, which was absolutely delicious. I also had the clear cake that literally melted in my mouth, along with the chocolate ganache cake, both were outstanding. The atmosphere was awesome and felt like a true step back in time. The waitresses’ uniforms from back in the day added so much charm and authenticity to the experience. Elegant, classic, and first class all the way. I will tell all my friends in Naperville Illinois to stop by when in town. Highly recommend.

Wonderful lunchtime special deal in the Polo Lounge. Superb value for excellent food and service. Great for anyone with allergies (ask the waiter) We were not staying there this time

A beautiful Hotel perfectly located in Sandburg. It has an elegant English Country hotel atmosphere with modern rooms all the needed appointments. Great breakfast ( including private outdoor dining if you like ) an oh so English Gentleman's Club bar and super receptive service from the entire staff. You can walk to the oldest restaurant in Europe ,1200 years or more, or sight see from the nearby bridges or winding streets. The staff's English skills are excellent.

7 years since our last stay and we were very happy to be back again. Great, historical location, (Christopher Plummer once led a sing-a-long from the hotel bar piano), just a minute walk from Mirabell gardens and 5 minutes from the old town/shopping district. Saw some scaffolding in front of the hotel, so i guess a little freshening up is going on, but couldn’t see it from our front-facing room, which was quiet and comfortable with a large, luxurious bathroom. Lovely staff, good breakfast, good dinner. Felt safe wandering around after dark. Plenty of good places to eat on our side of the river. Note: the convenience/grocery stores close around 6 or7, so if you get hungry for a snack after then, I hope you like take-away pizza or a good hike. Would gladly return.
