A lovely place which was clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located to see many of the highlights of Tuscany. The owner, Allesandrio, was always around to help if needed, and we also had the pleasure of a lovely evening meal at the place.

This lovely and beautiful B&B is a 400-year-old farmhouse, perfectly renovated, located on a hill with gorgeous views of heartwarming Tuscany which you can't get enough surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. It is 2.5km drive to the medieval town of San Gimignano. The Owner, Alessandro is friendly and welcoming as well as a great cook! He is very knowledgeable about the area and provides useful tips and suggestions. We enjoyed staying in an old charming room with modern amenities. The buffet breakfast had everything for every taste, and we enjoyed our breakfast while sitting outside with gorgeous view of vineyards and hills. We asked Alessandro to prepare a dinner for us and he executed it perfectly and the local wine added more pleasure to our dining. You need a car in order to reach there and explore the area properly. During our 4 night's stay, we visited Sienna and also several visits to San Gimignano. The pool was closed, but you can imagine how lovely it would be during summer! We highly recommend this B&B while visiting Tuscany.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our Italy trip. Was a perfect way to end out trip after spending a week in Sardinia. We were celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect! The rooms are great size along with a great sized bathroom. Beautiful views outside the bedroom window. So peaceful. Delicious breakfast every morning as well. The cherry on top was Alessandro's cooking. He approached us one morning and mentioned he would be cooking dinner that night. We did not know what to expect but it was the best meal of our entire trip! Everything was phenomenal. Highly recommend staying here for your Tuscany trip and hope we will be back soon.

This is the second time that we have enjoyed a stay at this location. Alessandro has continued to work on his property and it is even more beautiful that when we saw it a few years ago. The passion that he holds for what has been in his family for generations is evident. The rooms are well appointed, meticulously clean and spacious. He provides a wonderful breakfast and if your’e really lucky he will make dinner for you as well. The location is within easy access to San Gimignano, Pisa etc. but located in a quiet, beautiful area. Alessandro is warm, accessible and seems to be fluent in quite a few languages! This is absolutely one of our favourite places to stay in Italy.

A few beautiful days in Tuscany Just outside of San Gimignano. The grounds were stunning, quiet and peaceful. Everything was well maintained. The owner was always available and very helpful. A great experience overall!

Our stay at Il Casale del Cotone was a dream! The house, the location, the people, the garden, the scenery — everything seemed straight out of a fairytale! It exceeds the expectations of even the most skeptical visitors, being not only a place worthy of a story, but also one to be told! An unforgettable experience!

This place was the highlight of our trip. The garden and the view are stunning. We enjoyed a delicious Chianti wine and cheese. The owner prepared bruschettas and a huge steak for us. The property is incredibly cozy, with lots of inviting corners. The only downside was that we stayed for just one night. I will definitely come back✅

This is undoubtedly the perfect venue to use as a base for exploring the walled towns of Tuscany, whether by car, cycle or hiking. |The buildings and grounds are immaculately maintained. The rooms are super comfortable and well appointed. Alessandro, the proprietor, has a great sense of style, reflected in the tasteful interior decoration of il Casale, the attention to detail and garden layout. |The staff are all super friendly, courteous and efficient. |The breakfast offers a variety of choices to suit all dietary preferences. You will not go hungry. |If Alessandro offers to prepare a dinner for the guests, this is an event not to be missed because he is passionate about the preparation and the presentation of delicious food. If he doesn’t offer to cook for you, ask him to do so!|Finally, our stay was really good value for the money.
