I must begin by reminding you that you made your reservation via WhatsApp. You requested a booking for two people, and we sent a payment request for each guest; the charge was processed directly through our payment gateway. You are being untruthful, as you did not book through Booking.com—and besides, that platform penalizes accommodations for cancellations, which is not in our interest. What happened with your booking was a case of human error: we mistakenly cancelled your reservation instead of another guest's, resulting in an automatic refund. Consequently, we had to charge you again upon your arrival. Please reflect on the comment you wrote and consider that we all make mistakes... you are being very unfair!

Google· 11 months agoWithin 200 meters of the hostel you'll find the San Paio restaurant right across the street, plus a few bars, a supermarket, a bakery, and a tobacconist for snacks and supplies. The hostel itself has a communal kitchen and a dining room, so you can cook your own meals. For a wider choice, the city center is about 8 km away, where you'll find many traditional restaurants. You can also join the Santiago foodie tour with drinks, tapas, and live music to sample local flavors. The bus from Lavacolla can take you into town for more dining options.
The Albergue A Fabrica sits in Lavacolla, a quiet countryside spot right on the Camino de Santiago, about 12 km from Santiago's old town. Within 200 meters you'll find bars, a restaurant, a supermarket, a bakery, and a tobacconist, so daily needs are covered. The hostel has a garden and terrace, ideal for relaxing after a walk. The airport is just 2.6 km away, and the city's main sights, like the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, are about 8.2 km off, so you'll need a bus or taxi to reach them. It's a peaceful base with easy access to the airport and the Camino route.
From Santiago Airport (SCQ), the hotel is about 2.6 km away. Take the 6A bus from the airport to the Lavacolla stop, which runs hourly and takes about 8 minutes, or a taxi for a 4-minute ride. From the main train station at Rúa do Hórreo, take the 6A bus toward the airport and get off at Lavacolla. The hotel is a short walk from the stop, near the Camino Francés. A taxi or ride-hailing service is also a direct option from either point.
In the evening, you can relax in the hostel's garden or common areas, which are ideal after a day on the Camino. Within 200 meters, there are bars and a restaurant, like San Paio, for a casual dinner or drink. The city's main sights, such as the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, are about 8.2 km away, so you'd need a taxi or bus to reach the old town's evening scene. The airport is just 2.6 km away, and a direct bus runs hourly from Lavacolla 1, making it easy to head into the city for the night. Back at the hostel, the shared kitchen and dining room let you prepare your own evening meal if you prefer.
Albergue A Fabrica sits in Lavacolla, about 8 km from the main sights, so it is a calm base rather than a central one. The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is 8.2 km away, and Parque de San Domingos de Bonaval is 7.6 km, so you will need a bus, taxi, or ride-hail to reach them. The hotel is 2 km from the airport and right on the Camino Frances, which suits walkers. For exploring the city, plan trips into the centre rather than strolling out. The local bus from Lavacolla connects you to the old town, making day visits straightforward. It is a practical base if you value quiet surroundings and easy airport access.
