Here are the pros and cons we experienced during our stay: Pros: - rooms are generally clean - rooms offer nice amenities like a minibar or AC - the staff is helpful, friendly and fluent in English - the location of the hotel is excellent and convenient. The bus to and from the airport stops next to their doorstep - they offer to take care of your baggage before check-in/after check-out - there are several offers like a massage service, room service or a treadmill Cons: - the breakfast is subpar. Many things offered there are either apparently not fresh or at least of subpar quality. Boiled and fried eggs are waxy, bread is almost a bit stale at times, knives are not sharp and the choice of food is rather limited, especially if it comes to fresh fruit and vegetables. Yoghurt was only offered pre-packaged and processed. - many small details bring tiny annoyances throughout the stay: The shower water pressure is the lowest I've ever seen. There was a little black mold in our shower. Using the lobby toilet is like slapstick - light will automatically turn off in the middle of your using it, faucets turn off after literally one second, toilet paper is sliced thinner than the Serrano they serve at breakfast etc.; the hotel elevator is very small and takes forever to close and go to different stories. All in all staying there was... Okay. But not what we expected of a 4-star-hotel. I can only recommend the hotel if you plan to minimise your time there anyway. And I urge you to get breakfast in town rather than at the hotel. After all we had a better experience in our super-cheap Frankfurt Airport hotel.

We were unfortunate to arrive Santiago de Compostela on the day Spain and Portugal suffered a country-wide power outage. However, the staff at Hotel Compostela made everything smooth of us. They facilitated our check even when their system is down and also assisted us with our luggage to our rooms. They were always attentive to our needs and always there to ensure we will be looked after. This is our second stay in this hotel and if we ever visit SCQ again, we will not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is very central and within walking distance of most of the attractions, shopping area and lots of amazing restaurants nearby. The reception staff are amazing and helpful and will recommend and book restaurants if you so wish. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathroom contains a shower. I would recommend putting a slip mat for those who would not be very mobile and while they supply a kettle and tea and coffee they do not supply milk - minor items but I think they would make an improvement

What a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. You are right across from the old town and very close to the Cathedral. Lots of amazing restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Very nice hotel with great staff working here. Nice rooms with comfortable beds, will definitely stay here again.

Great location near the oldtown, cathedral, and the train station. Breakfast is good, and all the staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms have been renovated, but starting to show some signs of wear and tear. Rooms are very quiet eventhough the hotel is located on a busy street.

Great hotel. We had a lively room overlooking the small park. Spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee available downstairs during the day. Very helpful reception staff. Approx 8 mins walk from the Cathedral. Did the rooftop tour which was amazing.

This was a nice hotel. We only stayed one night but found everything very satisfactory. The concierge was really good and quite funny. The breakfast was quite good as well and the hotel was quite well situated. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was prearranged by a tour company so can't comment on cost.

Located near the cathedral, the hotel is easily accessible. It is 8 mins away from the train station which makes it really convenient. Room is fantastic! Sound proof. The only hotel during my pilgrimage that is sound proof. I had a great sleep. Service of front desk can be improved. More sincerity in handling pilgrims would be great.
