This is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location, just steps to the Cathedral. Our room was perfect with a clean modern bathroom. We enjoyed the decor reflecting elements of the Camino de Santiago. We had a very unfortunate experience with the desk staff ordering a taxi for us. The “taxi” turned out to be an unmarked black van with no meter. When we arrived at the train station, the driver demanded 16 euro stating that traffic was heavy coming to pick us up. We told him we had paid a taxi 10 euro two days prior for the same route. He said his company had a relationship with the hotel which was hardly reassuring. We called the hotel and emailed them later, but they refuse to respond to our concerns.

Great hotel, steps from the Cathedral. Room was amazing, bathroom spacious. Very, very clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Arranged for a pickup taxi for our departure. You will not regret staying here. Forgot to mention that the shower, water pressure & water temperature was fantastic!!! It was 3 days of glorious showers after long days of being a tourist.

arrived in a rain storm and whilst reception lovely there is no way to check in early at all, so by 230 pm there was large groups of people hanging around the small lobby and breakfast area waiting to check in. probably one if the few places that i've ever stayed that had no flexibility with check in. (not even a minute before 3!) Also there is now a tourist city tax €2.20 pp per night, which is required to be paid in check in. |Breakfast is €10 a selection of breads, cakes, fresh fruits, yoghurt, cheese,ham ...... whilst limited in range it certainly does the job! the rooms have all the pluses - individual air cons, kettle , cool box as it doesn't get as cold as a fridge (slightly annoying as it doesn't get cold enough) and most importantly walk in shower!!! |the beds are extremely comfortable, of a good size - i love love love the exposed brick walls, adds so much character to the room!! |the bathroom is spacious - limited amenities - soap and paper cup, but exceptionally clean and new and fresh looking, although some mold in the corner of the shower base also the door is very difficult to close, not a problem as i'm staying by myself, but a bit of WD40 may do the trick. |But the best part about this beautiful brick hotel is the position - literally around the corner from the cathedral and square! Restaurants and shops are plentiful and the maze of streets are wonderful to wander aimlessly through.

I arrived in Santiago de Compostela as a pilgrim, planning to treat myself to two days at a hotel. When I checked in and was about to go to my room, the woman at reception mentioned that if I didn’t like the room, I could change it the next day (after 3:00 PM). At first, the room smelled very clean — almost too clean — but I didn’t think much of it. In the middle of the night, however, I woke up with a headache. When I went to the bathroom, it smelled strongly of mold and was extremely damp. I started looking more closely around the room — and to my shock, I found black mold everywhere: on the ceiling, in the shower, above the sliding door, and even on the power cable of the hairdryer. The shower floor and corners were full of mold as well. That’s when I understood what the receptionist had meant the day before. Is it really acceptable that paying hotel guests are checked into a room full of toxic mold? This is a serious health hazard. I would also describe the photos of the rooms on their website as misleading. When I booked through Booking.com, I was given a completely different impression of the accommodation. The next morning, I packed my things and went to the reception to check out. The woman at the desk was kind and understanding, but she had no authority to resolve the issue, so she called what seemed to be the manager. The manager, however, refused to properly address the condition of my room. When I showed her the photos I had taken, she tried to justify the mold problem by saying that the room was located in the basement and that it had been raining — as if that made it acceptable. She showed no real understanding of my situation. Her only suggestion was that I could move to another room. But by then, my two planned days of relaxation were already ruined. I would have had to check out, wait several hours, and check in again later — which of course I didn’t want to do. There was no offer of compensation whatsoever (other than changing rooms), which I clearly declined. All I wanted was two uninterrupted days without problems. If I worked in the hospitality industry, I would have immediately offered a full refund without hesitation. Offering a room infested with black mold is not only unacceptable but also terrible publicity for the hotel. On top of that, the manager behaved arrogantly and rudely toward guests. Having walked the entire Camino Francés, this hotel was by far my worst accommodation experience. This happened late 2025.

Very welcoming staff at this boutique hotel. Small but efficient hotel room with a good bathroom. Ready well located right by the cathedral and only 300 meters from secure and spacious public parking. Recommend.
