Arrived late because of the flight and was treated like a member of the family. Every person working in reception was great, intelligent, warm and humane but special thanks to Pillar for her advice. Very clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet rooms. Good breakfast. Very good value for money.|As the hotel is next to El Cortes Inglese, one could escape the August heat anytime. Very convenient for the airport, but obviously not as near to the Santiago cathedral. Very good neighbourhood of Rosalinda to see the locals.

Good value for money overall. The location is average, not particularly central, but very practical if you have a car, with easy motorway access and free parking spots just steps from the hotel. The breakfast area is on the smaller side and gets quite busy during peak hours, so I'd recommend heading down early. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which really adds to the experience. One thing to note: coffee machine and kettle seem to be available in superior rooms only, not in standard rooms, a little surprising and worth keeping in mind when choosing your room category. Solid stay, would return.

Stayed here as a treat for finish my Camino. Upon entering, the hotel has been remodeled beautifully, but the rooms need a major remodel. A good night sleep didn’t happen during my three night stay. I had to use the extra comforter in the closet to help somewhat soften the mattress…it helped but only slightly. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with a lot of options. I ordered a bottle of sparkling water to take with me on my walk, but they wouldn’t sell one to me which was the weirdest thing. They would only sell me a regular bottle of water…weird. The worst part is the rate of the rooms. The online booking told me one amount but when I paid for my stay at the end, each night was €30-€40 euros higher. I was told rates change based on availability. Management was no help in honoring the amount I originally booked for. Bottom line, book elsewhere. This place is a 30 minute walk away from the center of town. And while the interior of the lobby looks nice, it falls short with horrible beds, leaking shower, poor coffee maker in the room, and the lack of customer service.

Given that the main attraction in Santiago de Compostella is the cathedral, the hotel is located approximately 40 minutes walk away. In terms of local restaurants, you are limited to the hotel or the cafe in el Corte Ingles. The hotel is clean and modern with a comprehensive buffet breakfast and nice casual bar with reasonable prices (for a hotel). The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and functional, however it was lacking in some amenities expected of a Melia branded hotel. Equally, I was disappointed there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The room does have excellent sound proofing.

We are a family of two adults and one 4-year-old child. We contacted the hotel to ask if they could provide an extra bed for our child, but they refused and required us to book two separate rooms instead. This is not a practical or reasonable solution for a family with a 4-year-old. We were very disappointed by the lack of flexibility and empathy shown toward families, especially as this is not the level of service we have come to expect from Meliá hotels.

Well outside the old town area but 4min  to large shopping mall with grocery store. Initially given a room on floor 5. After about half an hour the power in our room & adjacent  rooms went out. After about 2hrs we were changed to a room on floor 6. The toilet flush in the new room was not very strong. The overhead rain shower didn't work or was not connected. The shower screen needs to be at least 20cm longer to prevent a stream of water flowing out of the shower area. Breakfast was good but no fried eggs or eggs to order.

Me and my wife stayed at Santiago Plaza Affiliated by Meliá in Santiago de Compostela, the past 10th of Abril for our anniversary. I booked a room with a double bed, Although I understand it was "subject to availability," the hotel failed to inform me at any time, even at check-in that they were giving me twin beds instead. More importantly, the hotel staff confirmed they had Superior rooms with double beds available, but they refuse to move me into one unless I pay an extra fee, despite the communication failure on their part. Imagine spending your weeding anniversary in twin beds... We'll never go there again

We absolutely love this hotel Great staff so friendly . We feel so welcome .grest food in the Gastro bar we eat there nearly night . Definitely would recomend it . Even though it is a little bit out side the city . There is a great bus service that takes you straight into the centre for 1 € or a taxi which cost around 5€.
