We were blown away by the service we received at the Grand Hotel Continental. We arrived for a one night stay in Siena and we left on top of the world, not only because of the beautiful place, but also the incredible experience we had staying here. The staff were wonderful, delivering 5-star service across the board. They were clearly so proud of this beautiful place and it was contagious! The room was beautiful with a balcony view that included Siena Cathedral, the Basilica Cateriniana di San Domenico and the Tuscan countryside all in one go. Stunning! We will definitely be returning.

The room and hotel were spectacular— perhaps the most impressive we’ve stayed in. The service, exceptional, kind and warm. The frescos were awesome! Small details thought of. The concierge helped my daughter get medicine when she needed it, and also made us an awesome dinner reservation. The porters were also exceptional. The restaurant food & staff were excellent. This is an extraordinarily wonderful hotel. However, I did not feel as secure as possible as I did not notice security cameras in the hallways, and the deadbolt is key activated instead of being separate. Also, our door did not have an extra security lock chain and I wish it had one. My wife observed someone enter our room while we were sleeping. Perhaps a cloned key? We would have appreciated seeing the key log with timestamps and security camera footage, but it wasn’t forthcoming. I’d feel much better returning w/ added layers of security. EDIT: twice we had no problem whatsoever getting the deadbolt to open with the key.

Old and tired hotel with very unfriendly front desk staff & concierge. Strongly recommend everyone not to use this hotel.

My husband and I had an incredible stay at the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena! This hotel is truly remarkable. Gianpaolo was such a sweetheart! He went out of his way to help us find a restaurant that accommodated my gluten intolerance and even took care of the reservation for us. His kindness made us feel so welcomed and at home. Plus, he ensured that our check out was smooth and stress free, which we greatly appreciated. Gianluca, the restaurant manager, was simply fantastic. His team provided wonderful service during both the cocktail hour and breakfast, making every meal feel special. It was heartwarming to see how genuinely they cared about our comfort and experience. What really stood out was the discretion and thoughtfulness they showed throughout our stay. It’s a rare quality that made us feel respected and comfortable. If you are looking for a hotel that combines stunning beauty with unforgettable service, I can’t recommend the Grand Hotel Continental enough.

What a fantastic hotel this is, beautiful things to look at everywhere. There is a lovely quietness about the hotel, it's very peaceful once you enter. We had a deluxe room overlooking the City which was amazing. We had to tear ourselves away from the view from our window and watching the hundreds of swallows flying by. The breakfast is fantastic, and we also ate in the restaurant. Best meal of our trip to Tuscany, and we wished we had eaten there every night!We had the tasting menu which was incredible value and totally delicious. The Chef is so talented. All the staff at the hotel are wonderful - professional, friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble, and they very quickly made us feel that we were at home. I have to give a special mention to Massimo - the Maitre D of the restaurant who seems to always be there! He is the must delightful person you could wish to meet, we looked forward to seeing him every morning and evening. He obviously is very proud of the work they do, and he runs an incredibly organised ship. He is so knowledgable about both wine and food, and is always friendly without being overbearing. Thanks to Masimmo and all the staff for giving us such a memorable stay.

We absolutely loved the Grand Continental hotel. We we’re only supposed to stay one night however our plans changed right before we arrived and they were able to accommodate us with an extra night. We were already grateful but I am so happy we got to stay two nights here instead of one. Siena is absolutely incredible and this hotel is right in the middle. We drove through the historic town (although I’m not sure that was allowed) and arrived at this magical place. We had two connecting rooms and they gave our children such a warm welcome! This is a hotel we will never forget and hopefully we will be able to return one day soon.

This place was a true five star Hotel. Once again, like an nincompoop, I forgot to take pictures, but it really is very nice. The rooms were well appointed, even if they were not super large. The furniture was high-quality my wife loved the towels. The young man, Valeria, who checked us in was a real gem. He had a good sense of humor and was at the same time efficient. We were able to drive to the hotel and they registered our license so we wouldn’t get a ticket. We had breakfast there and anything that you could possibly want was present. The staff was gracious and everyone seemed to know your name. I have been traveling in central Asia and needed to get something laundered quickly and they made arrangements to do it. I would definitely stay here again and so with my wife, especially if she’s traveling with me! I’m sorry I didn’t take any pictures, but there was quite a lot of pictures on the Internet and believe me you won’t be disappointed by this place

We had an absolutely wonderful 3-night stay at the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Our room with a view was truly unbelievable and made the experience feel so special. Waking up to the beauty of Siena each morning was unforgettable. The daily breakfast was also fantastic, with a great variety of options and excellent service every day from the breakfast staff. One of the highlights of our stay was the wine tasting experience in the cellar. Massimo was kind enough to accommodate us just after the designated tasting time slot, which was such a lovely surprise and made us feel incredibly special. The tasting itself was excellent and became one of our favorite memories from Siena. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Grand Hotel Continental to anyone visiting Siena.
