I last visited here as a young sailor in 1995 and first got carried out of the Long Bar as an even younger sailor in 1986. While the hotel has definitely upgraded and I could never afford to stay here it's definitely worth the visit to bore my partner with stories. The Singapore Sling and shelling the nuts while sitting at the bar was a highlight of my nostalgic visit and is a must do for anyone.

We have been wine and dine at Raffles previously and always had a wonderful experience. This time we decided to have High Tea. Exquisite! Refined taste, super delicious and world class service. To top it up, The Harp musician Lady was playing one of my favourite song in the background. Sense of Joy and fantastic experience.

I have had a fascination with Raffles Hotel ever since my father told me he had stayed there in the 1950s. We have just spent 4 nights at this historic hotel and absolutely loved it. Apart from the old world grandeur , beautiful suites and amenities, what stood out for us were the staff. They made us feel very welcome and were genuinely warm and helpful. Special thanks to Joey and her colleagues at breakfast who were outstanding. We hope to return one day.

I don't know where to start! This was my bucket list trip and it did not disappoint. I've always wanted to go to the Long Bar to try a Singapore Sling, but to actually stay in the hotel was a dream come true. We arrived at 7am and didn't expect our suite to be ready, but it was, and what a suite! Complete with parlour, butler and every little extra you can think of, e.g. bath pillows, mouthwash. Housekeeping even brought me a raffles embossed leather wire tidier for my phone charging lead! Suffice to say the staff were out of this world and couldn't do enough for you. At breakfast the standard of food was world class with a fantastic variety. The cocktails in both the Long Bar and Writer's Bar were amazing. Everyone should visit the Raffles in Singapore at least once in their life!

We recently stayed at Raffles Singapore and were really excited given its reputation. We saw a documentary about the hotel and it’s been a dream to stay here ever since. While the property is undeniably beautiful, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The positives: • Stunning building and atmosphere, and the room was gorgeous, clean, bathroom incredible. The congratulations banner was really appreciated • Vikram was especially helpful • The history tour with Rossi is a must Where it fell short: • Communication could be clearer. We weren’t told about the welcome drink or boutique discount, so we ended up missing out on this part of this experience. We actually paid for a drink out of pocket, not realising we had this included. And ended up shopping in the boutique without getting our entitled discount. • Service was slow. When we were made aware of it and did finally request the welcome drink, it didn’t arrive after 25 minutes and we had to leave for our flight, which was disappointing. • Dining at Tiffin was underwhelming, with delays in service and basic things like drinks menus missing. Our serving staff had to be reminded by the manager to actually come serve us. None of these are major issues on their own, but at this price point, for a special occasion, they add up. Raffles is meant to feel like an experience, and unfortunately it came across as a bit impersonal. Raffles is a truly unique hotel, and we know the Raffles approach is to make guests feel like residents, but that sense of personalised service was unfortunately missing.

I booked the Heritage Tour incl lunch at the hotel and was fantastic - really interesting history of both the hotel & Singapore and was able to go into parts of the hotel that we would never have found by myself. Nazil and all the staff very welcoming. A real gem of a tour - thoroughly recommend.

Everything is on point and spotless from the facilities to the kindness of the staff. You are welcomed and greeted as if you were the most important vip. If I have to comment on one thing, I think that the staff at breakfast are a bit too fast, sometimes we had to ask them to wait before taking our dishes

Space. It’s one of the first impressions at Raffles Singapore. From dew-kissed lawns to broad colonnaded corridors and generous suites, a sense of openness and calm seems to float through the entire property. Refinement follows close behind. The 2019 transformation honoured the hotel’s heritage while quietly elevating every detail — from restored brass light switches to the decision to preserve the down-to-earth charm of the iconic Long Bar, nut shells included. The past isn’t merely remembered here; it is beautifully re-animated. And then there is the human warmth. In a city already rich in tropical warmth, what sets Raffles apart is the sincerity of its people. Service is intuitive, gracious and entirely unforced. The phrase “arrive as a guest, leave as a friend, return as family” may sound like marketing — until you experience it. Raffles Singapore is truly an elegant blend of extraordinary heritage (if those walls could talk), space... and amazing heartfelt hospitality that lingers long after departure.

You can eat well without leaving the hotel. The Raffles Courtyard is an alfresco restaurant with Southeast Asian dishes, and the Long Bar is a classic spot for a drink and a snack.
