Five stars for Pepe’s service! Thank you Pepe for all the Spritzes and Garibaldis and aperitivo snacks. All the staff are proficient but Pepe was certainly the most charming all the while making you the perfect drink to enjoy! The rooms are spacious and the bathroom luxurious. The only thing we missed was a kettle for our coffee bags or any other in room coffee solution. We did stay in cheaper accommodation that included capsule coffee machines at no charge here it is assumed the price is location, location, location and bar/view/pool. Some friends have pointed out that it’s intended to point you in the direction of the nearest cafe to support the local economy. For us though, we need a coffee to leave the room to get another coffee! So I guess, you win Palazzo Guardati because we purchased double the coffee in Sorrento! We also bought the obligatory lemon sorbet etc. which was totally worth it, but ask for a small so you’re not paying for the lemon it’s served in! Unless you need that insta shot of course! *the pool is also great, there are water jets but they are hard to see **other notes… my favourite restaurant was Fauno Bar, they had Ambo Fauno on the menu so if you can’t choose between pizza and pasta you can have both (por que no los dos)!

My first time in Sorrento.my first impression was wonderful! It started with the location. Central to shops, restaurants even going to the docks to purchase local ferry rides to Capri and Amalfi. Next we have service. Bianca greeted my tired family with such warmth and enthusiasm. I felt so welcomed!! She was such a great help with answering any questions or concerns. The last day we were in Sorrento we ran into her outside when she was heading home and she bid us farewell and gave us all hugs….just like family. Pepe our bartender on the rooftop was a doll. Attentive, pleasant and funny. Great drinks ! The rooms were gorgeous, spacey and transports you to an Italian time in history were everything is adorned with a touch of regal charm. Absolutely fell in love with the area , people and this charming Hotel. Will be back soon.

My first time in Sorrento and I will be back. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the center beside numerous restaurants and shops, you could not get any closer. The staff are all lovely and very helpful when booking taxi's, trips etc. The breakfast is lovely and substantial. The rooms are so clean and cleaned every day. The one person who stood out is Pepe, the bartender on the rooftop bar, he helped me when tying banners for our Friend's 60th birthday and bought the champagne and canapes right on time, an asset to the hotel. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone travelling to Sorrento.

We recently stayed three nights at this lovely hotel. It’s located on a quiet side street right in the heart of Sorrento. We were greeted with a smile by Bianca at the front desk. She is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. Our room was pretty, and the bed was quite comfortable. The shower was amazing; great water pressure. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning. There is plenty to choose from, both sweet and savory. The staff is great, and will bring you the coffee drink of your choosing. We won’t hesitate to stay here again next time we’re in Sorrento. It was a fantastic stay.

Only bad thing I can say is about the parking, horrible. The whole area is the same if not worse. The hotel is centrally located smack dab in the middle of everything. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooftop pool area is very relaxing just like the 1st floor living room.

Disappointed... Very tired and uncomfortable room and bathroom. No water pressure. Poor breakfast. Roof pool very small and dirty. Service is nonexistent — in a so-called 4-star hotel, reception is hidden away so staff can completely ignore guests. To top it all off, charging €2 for a tiny bottle of water in a pitiful "minibar" is just greedy. It is a total waste of money and absolutely not worth €220 per night.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Guardati. All of the staff were very attentive & a huge shout out to Pepe as we made our stay even more memorable with his smile & welcoming manner from our first night. Jo & Madi from Australia

We visited a variety of towns up and down the Amalfi coast, Sorrento was our favourite in a large part due to this hotel. The hotel is just off the main square in a side street. It is very easy to find, when you get off the ferry go to the right through the carpark to the lifts. Then leave the park go to your left. It's about a 10 minute walk. The lift is 1.20 euro pp and only take cash. The hotel itself was beautiful, big room with beautiful decor. A lovely room on the first floor for reading and a terrace. The roof terrace pool is perfect, small with some deck chairs. The bar opens at 1pm. The staff could not do enough, they were fantastic. Pepe by the pool was a real highlight, an absolute treasure, and he makes the best Hugo Spritz. He's also a great photographer of u need a photo. We booked several fancy restaurants for our stay but there was no need, there are plenty of beautiful ones nearby anywhere that I eat is stunning. Make sure u spend an evening in the square just beside the hotel. There is an open bar at the center that has live music and is a wonderful buzz.
