Pros: The hotel is in a convenient location by the train station and a short walk from most touristy places. The check in and check out process is simple. The hotel staff spoke good English. The hotel holds your luggage for you if you arrive before check-in or after check out. Cons: the onsen does not have a cold pool. Breakfast not included. I was traveling solo and so I booked the smallest accommodation possible. Then was told that my room is a smoking room. I upgraded my room to a non-smoking room with was a 50% increase in the rate I originally paid. The upgraded room was supposed to be bigger but it was a tiny little room with a full bed.

Directions: Arrived at Takayama Bus stop. Took about 5 mins with luggage to reach hotel. Opposite of Takayama station. Crossed the main road and can be reached. Lobby was on level 2. Room:1 X Semi-Double Room - Non-Smoking Duration: 3 nights Service : Good and friendly staff. Staff at the lobby able to converse in basic English. Check in and out was smooth and quick. Value : Ok. Direct booked with hotel site. Wi-Fi: Free in room. Decent Wi-Fi signal. Room : Able to fit in 2x Medium sized luggages. TV had mostly Japanese channels if recalled. Toilet/bathroom basically ok. Heater worked ok. Aircon worked ok. Food: Did not consume any hotel food. Sleep Quality: Good. No serious disturbance. Laundry/ Others: Coined laundry was on the Lobby L2 level along with bathhouse. Did not use. Cleanliness: Decent. No major issue. Gym / Pool: Not aware of. Location: Good. Opposite of Takayama train station and bus terminals gave transport options. Convenience store, restuarants and few souvenir shops were just beside the hotel. Overall : Good for short stay. Stayed 3 nights. Convenient location to explore local areas and day trips.

Public bath was great and accessibility to Takayama was perfect since it was just right infront of the hotel. There's also pharmacy right below at the entrance of the hotel. A little issue I have was that I saw a different treatment they gave to a foreigner compared to a local like Japanese were offered facial masks when they checked in but for foreigner they did not offer. We are paying customers too with premium being placed on rates we pay.

Stay at triple room for 2 nights. Nothing to complaint. Location is perfect for heavy luggages. Public bath is large and clean. The service is great. We will stay at this hotel for next visit.

Superb location. Value for money. Complete amenities and toiletries. Fourth floor is great for microwave machine access. RECOMMENDED!

easy to check in. can store luggage if arrive early or during check out time. room is comfort, with hotspring and breakfast (japanese style). lobby at 2nd floor, go up with escalator. downstair with restaurant and drug store, nearby have souvenir shop and family mart.

Decent sized room, great cost to performance ratio and located right beside Takayama station. Staff were friendly and spoke English perfectly making check in easy. Easy to get around the area with most hotspots located within a short walk or bus.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is only 10 or 15 minute walk to the historic part of Takayama. Moreover, the train station and bus station are located right across the street from the hotel. The room is small, but it is spacious enough to store your luggage and even to open your suitcase wide that is not possible everywhere in Japanese hotels. Additionally, there is a small onsen in there, which is not common for business hotels in Japan.
