An unforgettable stay at Grand Hotel Timeo. The hotel is truly exceptional — elegant, full of character, and set in one of the most beautiful locations in Taormina. The views of Mount Etna and the coastline are simply breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The entire team was warm, attentive and professional, making us feel incredibly well looked after throughout our stay. The atmosphere is very special, combining old-world Italian charm with the level of service you would expect from a Belmond hotel. Everything, from the beautiful gardens to the terraces and wonderful breakfast, made our stay memorable. We would absolutely love to return.

★★★★★ An Unforgettable Stay in Taormina Our 3 nights at Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo were the best part of our Sicily vacation. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous — every corner feels like a work of art, with views that are hard to put into words. A huge thank you to the entire team who made our stay so special. Massimiliano Puglisi, the GM, was incredibly attentive throughout our stay, personally checking in on us and making sure everything was perfect — that kind of genuine hospitality is rare. The front desk and concierge team were warm and helpful from check-in to check-out, the restaurant staff made every meal feel effortless, and housekeeping kept our room immaculate throughout our stay. It was clear that hospitality at every level is taken seriously here. Dining at Otto Geleng was a true highlight — exceptional food in an equally exceptional setting. Can't recommend this hotel enough. If you're visiting Taormina, this is where you want to stay.

Our experience at Belmond Taormina was exceptional and one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and every meal felt special. Breakfast each morning was not only delicious but also wonderfully entertaining. There was a sense of theatre and energy from the staff that made the experience memorable and set a lovely tone for the day. What stood out most, however, was the exceptional level of care and attention from the team. Our daughter fell asleep during dinner one evening due to jet lag and missed the opportunity to try the squid pasta she had been looking forward to. When the staff learned this, they kindly prepared the same pasta for her the following night so she wouldn't miss out. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect example of the genuine hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding, but it was these personal touches that made our visit truly unforgettable. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning.

There are luxury hotels, and then there is Grand Hotel Timeo. My husband and I have traveled extensively, and we can genuinely say we have never experienced this level of hospitality anywhere. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was extraordinary. The staff seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even thought to ask. At the beach, someone actually came over and offered to clean our sunglasses. Our room was serviced and turned down impeccably, and when we put up the Do Not Disturb sign one afternoon, they even called simply to make sure everything was okay and that we hadn’t put it up by mistake. It sounds like such a small thing, but that level of attentiveness was present in absolutely everything. Our room was beautiful, and we were incredibly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a much larger villa with a living room and two balconies. The amenities were unlike anything we’ve experienced at a hotel — beautiful skincare, face and body products, after-sun care, and even Christian Dior body oil. Everything felt thoughtful, generous and genuinely luxurious rather than simply expensive. My husband had a massage at the newly opened Dior Spa and said it was phenomenal. The gym is state-of-the-art, the pool is pristine and peaceful, and every meal we had was impeccable. The grounds themselves almost don’t look real. Every corner is immaculate and so beautiful it looks photoshopped. Having seamless access to the sister Belmond property and its private beach was another incredible touch. Transportation was effortless, taxis were always available, and somehow every detail of our stay was handled before we ever had to think about it. What impressed us most, though, was the service. True luxury isn’t just a beautiful property — it’s how you are made to feel while you’re there. Every single person we encountered was warm, gracious, attentive and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay exceptional. Nothing felt forced or transactional. We left genuinely asking ourselves how another hotel could ever top this experience. Grand Hotel Timeo has completely changed our standard for what a five-star hotel can be. An unforgettable stay and an effortless 10/10. We cannot wait to return.

The hotel has a beautiful historic charm, and I personally enjoyed the nostalgic character of the rooms. However, while preserving that classic atmosphere, many parts of the property are in need of renovation and better maintenance. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to dine at the Michelin-starred restaurant because it was fully booked. I did try the other restaurant, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. The service was good, but the food was below average. None of the dishes I ordered stood out or felt particularly flavorful, which was disappointing considering the hotel’s reputation.

The 11th Belmond property I have unlocked. Great standard as usual plus beautiful hotel, stunning view, great staff, tasty food, cozy days —- what’s further we could ask for! I will start from quoting what I have written in hotel post- stay survey: all staff, they are “simpatici”: by now I can’t find the right English word to describe, it combines with friendly, attentive, kind, helpful, sweet, thoughtful, all! I believe this is hotel best assets. During my 7-night stay there, I taped with many staff, and could feel their passion from heart to the job, gratitude deep down to the hotel, I would say, to hotel management team, this is a truly success. Our Etna front Junior suite is undoubtedly nice, adequate space, enough wardrobe (you know 2 ladies x 7 nights…), comfortable bed and sofa, great welcome gift, I feel home during my stay. We literally had all our meals in hotel except for the day going down to their sister property beach club. In the morning I enjoyed sypical Sicilian breakfast by watching Etna - my friend now is a great mezzo freddo fan lol, for the lunch we had fresh lobster or fish in Timeo Grill, or got some fresh salad with delicious cocktail from pool bar, evening feast in Restaurant Timeo and of course didn’t miss Otto Geleng, what a treat! I had too much food, but, holiday calorie does not count ~~ BTW speaking of this, pls also don’t miss the bar in Villa Timeo, creative and talented bartenders, worth visiting. Besides many visits to all restaurants, also visited SPA twice: glamour DIOR SPA! Cozy atmosphere and full of treatments. I did once with body and once with facial, both of them were perfect; also paid some visits to gym, Alessandro is very professional, adjust workouts and personalize exercises, been a person with years of training experience, after 5mins I could tell he is an amazing coach, in many fields. I don’t have to highlight hotel view, breathtaking! Though summer time it was hot that I didn’t spend long time in garden, but garden is so big and beautiful. If I come back in another season. I want to jogging there. If you are going to visit Greek theater, ask concierge to purchase the ticket and you will have the fast lane, quite a privilege. My lovely week passed so quick, I have to say I really enjoy my stay there, enjoy talking with everyone there. GTH definitely tells you what is “Dolce Vita”, and we should immerse ourselves in it! Un giorno, ritorno ❤️ once again also on behalf of my friend Vicki, thanks a lot for taking good care of us, looking forward to next time!

Five stars simply aren’t enough for our experience at the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina. We stopped in for drinks and were lucky enough to have Fabio as our server. He was absolutely fantastic… warm, attentive, fun, and incredibly professional. The views were unforgettable, the atmosphere was pure Sicily, and Fabio made the experience even more special. Service like that stays with you long after the drinks are gone. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Beautiful location, Would recommend having drinks on the terrace, Amazing views over Taormina and Etna. We enjoyed the drinks so much we asked if we could eat in the restaurant they suggested a table in 40mins so we had another round of drinks. We went to the restaurant afterwards and they said they realised we were not residents so would have to wait another 40min ? Strange behaviour when the restaurant was half empty ? We left. A bit disappointing to be treated like that after spending $250 on 8 drinks !
