I have a friend staying there right now and saw her room. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised, the room is a great size with a spacious bathroom and walk-in shower, quite modern with a mini fridge and wardrobe. The highlight is the spacious terrace with amazing views of Taormina, see photos. Great location 5 min walk from the main street.

The rooms are too basic—even the most expensive one we stayed in. The toilet seat is loose, and there is no small table with chairs for sitting. The décor is reminiscent of your great-grandmother's house. Our bed was comfortable, though. The breakfast spread is extensive, but not suitable for vegans; there are no dairy alternatives.

My recent stay at Hotel Elios Taormina was far from satisfactory. The rooms are outdated and, to make matters worse, there were cockroaches in the room and mold in the bathroom. We were also charged an additional €60 for parking, which was quite a surprise.The breakfast offered was extremely limited, consisting only of toast and a few sweet pastries. Despite the booking information stating that the rooms had mini-bars, there was no fridge in our room.Moreover, the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. During check-out, the receptionist was very rude and did not provide us with receipts for the parking fee or the city tax.Overall, I would not recommend this accommodation to others. The price is high, and the rooms are not only old but also dirty. This experience was disappointing, and I suggest looking for other options if you are visiting Taormina.

Pros: the staff here are lovely and the hotel is central. The stunning Villa Comunale gardens are 2 mins away. Breakfast is varied enough, with boiled eggs and several savouries, plus pastries and really good coffee. The breakfast ladies are so nice and they do ask you if you want your room to be cleaned that day, so it’s up to you. The terrace overlooking the majestic Etna is beautiful, shame we haven’t used it that much.|Cons: our room was claustrophobic. No way that was a triple room, there was no space for our stuff and only two hangers. My in-laws had a much larger room, which made no sense! Sleep was bad, pillows too big and hard, but that’s my fault, as I should have asked for a replacement. At night it was stuffy, and if you wanted to open the balcony to let some fresh air in, the bin collection would wake you up at 4:40 every day. A real shame about our “family” room, as otherwise I would have loved this hotel, due to the staff.

Nice hotel in great location. Salvatore, the evening receptionist is just a sweetheart. Recommend places to visit and how to get there. Breakfast is abundant. Room spacious and clean. Dark shades make room perfect for late sleepers. Price: reasonable.

We visited the place in August and paid the price accordingly but honestly the hotel was much better than what I expected from the reviews. We got a room with a sea view and it was really worth it. A small balcony came with it as well. The hotel is ideally located - 10 min walk to the cable car that gets you to the beach and 10 min walk to the city centre. The room is simple but had everything we needed. We didn’t have any issue with noises. The terrace upstairs was great for an aperitif. The receptionist lady was particularly friendly and helpful during our short stay. The only downside of the place is the parking (6 min walk and €25 per day) but I expect this would be the case with most budget accomodation in Taormina.

Affordable hotel near bus station. Room was quite dark as we didn't book the room with sea view. Breakfast average, partly due to other tourists who messed around with the food.

Older property with much remaining charm and grace. Comfortable beds, great views from room balconies and rooftop terrace with a delicious and substantial breakfast. My room's shower stall was large, but was stained and needs to be updated. Road traffic noise, especially motorcycles is bothersome at times.
