A wonderful and comfortable stay! Although it’s a bit far from the station, the hotel is located in a very quiet area, which was perfect for a good night's sleep. The room was sparkling clean as they cleaned it thoroughly every single day. The water pressure was great, and both hot and cold water came out perfectly. I also loved that we could freely use the vending machine, microwave, and grab extra amenities whenever needed. Plus, having a supermarket and convenience stores close by made everything so convenient. I’d definitely stay here again!

Comfortable room for two. Air conditioner worked very well. Staff was very helpful in sending our luggage to our next hotel. Wish there were more washing machines available as they were only 3 and they were always in use. The vending machines on the first floor were great to have. Great location, very quiet. Would stay again.

Hotel is not well maintained. Hotel staffs are impatient and rude. Paid $300sgd for 1 night with 2 breakfast on Saturday night was simply exorbitant. Toilet has mould issue. Room is small even for Hollywood twin room. It’s the worst hotel. I did self check-in and did not input my own email as trip.com provided an auto generated email and this female trainee “tsk” at me and spoke rudely. Next, I requested for late check out and was told that there was charge. Paid for parking fee and check out at 11am. Requested to park at their parking for an hour to buy things nearby and was rejected. When they allocated me a parking lot, it was already occupied by another car. I seldom wrote review and if I wrote one, means that the hotel is really bad. This hotel has nothing great except for location but it is right smack in the heart of all the love hotels. Even breakfast is mediocre. Selection is slightly more than 2 stars hotel. Lastly, toothbrush given were really bad quality. Harder than the toothbrush that I’ve used for my horse

Even the rooms at superior level are just small boxes, where you can’t have two suitcases open at the same time. The staff at reception are reasonably friendly. In the restaurant, they play loud pop music during breakfast, while the head waiter constantly shouts “good morning” to the guests. Not a great start to the morning. The carpet in the restaurant is the dirtiest I’ve ever seen. Downright disgusting. In the attached bar, the staff are very unwelcoming, and you have no desire to come back. Why the hotel believes it lives up to four stars is hard to understand. I think the hotel would be more honest if it gave itself two stars. But Tokyo is fantastic, and you can just use the hotel facilities as little as possible.

Our stay was pleasant overall, but the check-in experience was a nightmare. We arrived late in the evening, tired and hungry with agitated children, having booked two rooms through Agoda and Klook (one loft room and one double room). The check-in process lasted an hour due to a complete lack of consistency regarding extra person fees, when it could have been quick. The first girl processing our check-in initially quoted an additional 3,000 JPY per night for an adult in the loft and our 7-year-old daughter. Then, a second girl came to help and completely changed the quotation to 54,000 JPY, claiming we needed a room upgrade. As we asked for options, they threw out another quotation around 72,000 JPY, and if I am not mistaken, it even shot up to a staggering 120,000 JPY at one point. This was entirely unacceptable and shocking; we were so overwhelmed we even considered getting a separate room outside for my sister-in-law. We repeatedly asked to speak to a manager, but they refused to provide one. Finally, a guy named Harry came and settled on a 54,000 JPY charge for the upgrade and extra person fee. Being exhausted and starving, we just agreed since they claimed it was the cheapest option. We felt robbed because the "upgraded" room featured the exact same double bed layout as our original booking, making the upgrade completely useless. As a fellow hotelier, I am willing to pay extra person charges, but bombarding tired international guests with multiple contradictory quotes feels highly unprofessional. Almost as if they upgraded us just for bonuses. It is a shame because this could have been a 5-star rating. The housekeeping staff was excellent and the room cleaning was very good, but front desk management seriously needs to learn transparent pricing and basic guest empathy.

Pro: great location, walking distance to shopping and entertainment district. 10 to 15 min walk to all the Shinjuku stations. Relatively quiet neighborhood. Con: the rooms are extremely small. We booked two double rooms on the 8th floor, and each was smaller than the size of a typical cruise ship room. Hardly any space for large luggage. On our first night, we asked for extra blankets and they didn't have any, which might just be due to the busy season but was very odd to be running out of blankets for a large hotel. Overall, like some of the other reviewers have said, this feels closer to a 2-star hotel than a 4-star. A decent hotel if you are traveling alone or as a couple who travels light. Not the best experience for a family with children.

The check in process for this hotel was quick and easy and all information provided was easy to understand. To checkout you could use the checkout machines to put your room keycard in and then you have checked out without having to talk to anyone, but you can give your room keycard to staff to let them know you have checked out also. Our room was on Level 6 which had a view of a building next door. The room was small but that was expected but there was room to move. The bathroom was a bit small but that made it interesting to use, but the good thing was that there was a soaking tub you could use after a day of exploring. On level 12 was the breakfast restaurant which was buffet style as you could choose to have Western or Japanese style breakfast and all food was delicious. On Level 13 was the bar and lounge where you could buy drinks and then go on the rooftop terrace to enjoy your drinks and food and watch the sunset and have a view of the city. On Level 2 was the laundry room which had 3 washer/dryer combo machines and it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to do everything. You could use your Icoco/Pasmo card to pay for the washing or just use coins and it was 700 yen. On level 1 were vending machines where you could by drinks or food for your day out or your room . There was also a a microwave you could use if you wanted to heat something up. There was also a currency machine you could use in an emergency if you needed some small change but it wasbest to go to a money changer to get better rates There were 2 staff that we felt that went out of their way to assist us, one was Karauchie? who was a trainee who helped us make a booking for the van to take us to the airport with all our luggage and made sure that the van was big enough. The other staff member was Kaguie? who made sure that the van outside was for us and also helped to take some of our luggage. We felt safe walking around Kabuchiko at night as it made for an interesting experience. There were interesting things to see while walking. If you are ever at Shinjuku I would recommend staying here a few days at least to get a feel of the area and the atmosphere.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel! Loud door slamming starting at 8-9am and until 1pm from the staff, everyday. So don’t stay up late if you plan on sleeping past 8:30am. For a double deluxe room, it is painfully small. Only local TV in Japanese, that means no option for apps like Netflix or YouTube. The washroom smells like stale pee, they claim to have cleaned it but it’s still there and strong. In the room there is a window but they would not let me open it. That means when you shower, you cannot open the window and the fan in the bathroom is so weak, it does absolutely nothing to help. Draining the bathtub leaves a huge puddle on the floor because the drain is linked to a drain on the floor in front of the tub, so when too much water is flowing, it ends up all over the floor. Staff weren’t very kind and seemed bothered with every question or even a simple request. Location is good, but lots of scammers in the area, I was approached several times aggressively and did my best to stay away from their groups. Basically, it did not feel safe. I’ll tell you that much. Score it how you will but that’s my opinion on it. 4/10 very disappointed. Will not be recommending or returning for any reason.
