This is a little gem of a hotel (really more of a bed and breakfast) in the heart of Valparaiso. We were very warmly welcomed and treated with such care by the very accommodating owners and staff. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast was magnificent! This hotel is also walking distance from several terrific restaurants and bars, and it's easy to walk to all the main attractions in Valpo from the hotel. We had a truly wonderful stay, in large part because of the people who run this hotel.

We spent three nights in early February. After planning for six months I booked and stayed in touch to make sure all well. Anne and Alex are the owners who personally approached us to share their dream's gestation. We had the port view suite with a terrace. Good choice with corner windows and full of light. Anne and Alex also have a farm that, along with the hotel's lush garden, supply breakfast ingredients. We are veggies and told Anne that it was the best breakfast I ever had, for my taste. You choose your freshly made eggs and Anne makes a daily cake! Alex is an agronomist and has an important restoration project of the endemic Chilean Palm, information is on a table, while Anne has two mischievous donkeys immortalized in a book. Alex managed an ecolodge in the Peruvian Amazon and has extensive knowledge of both Peru and Chile. The staff is very helpfull and volunteers recommendations. Katy made an intinerary for our first day which we were grateful; gave us maps and the front office a rail card to load for the coastal train to Mar del Plata (see La Quinta Vergara). We picked La Flor because it's in the bottom of Cerro Concepcion, many small restaurants and galleries about, and next to Cerro Verde. A short walk down you can access and the port is not far. We walked most everywhere with the exception of an Uber to Neruda's house, though you can walk, climb is more like it, there. Great town, regret to seeing Isla Negra.

Anne and her reception team were exceptional. They truly went above and beyond to make my stay at AYCA La Flora Boutique Hotel as pleasant as possible. Every member of the staff was a delight to interact with, being friendly, helpful, and always ready to offer advice or assistance, with the comfort of their guests clearly their top priority, and all delivered with a smile.|The rooms were spotless, with fresh linen, comfortable pillows, and a great mattress and all set within a beautifully artistic designed room. The breakfast was excellent as well.|Well done Anne and well done to everyone at AYCA La Flora Boutique Hotel! 👏

Possibly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The owners are truly hospitable, allowing us to use the hotel like our second home. One of the best gardens in Valparaiso, even has a view of the sea. I would not look any further, if you have stumbled on this hotel, just book it without bothering to search any further!

A wonderful place to stay on the edge of Cerro Concepcion with a beautiful garden overlooking the harbor, located between Paseo Gervasoni and Paseo Atkinson. My light-filled room had a terrace with the same view. Everyone - Catalina, Paz, Katherine, and Benjamin - shared information and recommendations for the city and took care of all requests, including arranging transportation from Santiago. A lovely place to stay, would like to go back one day.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. The facilities were very nice and clean, very well decorated and homey. Our room was lovely and smelt very good and had a very good view of the ocean. The garden outside is also gorgeous and the breakfast was great as well. We cannot say enough good things about the staff. Very nice, caring and attentive, went above and beyond to give us recommendations around the city. In particular Camila was a great help to us and we really appreciated everything she did, very very considerate and thoughtful.

What a gem in the heart of Valparaiso. The staff is fantastic, the gardens are lovely and many sights and good restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. A bit hard to find initally but once there anything that can’t be walked to directly can be reached by train or acensor. Highly recommend!
