I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. First, the soundproofing is extremely poor. I could clearly hear conversations, footsteps, and noise from neighboring rooms, which made it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Second, the room photos are misleading. The listing shows rooms with a bathtub, but apparently whether you get one or not is purely a matter of luck. My room only had a shower, which was disappointing since I had specifically expected a bathtub based on the photos. Another unpleasant surprise was that the bottled water in the room was not complimentary. At a 4-star hotel, I would expect at least basic drinking water to be provided free of charge. The Wi-Fi was also practically unusable. The connection was either extremely slow or simply didn’t work at all, making it impossible to rely on the hotel’s internet service. The staff throughout my stay came across as indifferent and unresponsive. They showed very little initiative to assist guests, which made the overall experience feel far below the standard I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The worst part of my stay, however, happened after I checked out. I accidentally left my iPhone charger and MacBook fast charger on the bed. I am 100% certain they were left in the room. I realized it the same day and called the hotel immediately so that my friend, who lives in Venice, could stop by and collect them for me. What disappointed me most was that the staff didn’t even seem willing to spend one minute checking the room. They immediately told me that nothing had been found. A MacBook fast charger is not inexpensive, and I find it unacceptable that a 4-star hotel would handle a guest’s lost belongings in such an unprofessional way. Whether it was negligence or something else, the complete lack of effort to investigate was extremely disappointing. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Poor soundproofing, misleading room photos, unusable Wi-Fi, extra charges for basic amenities, indifferent staff, and the careless handling of my lost belongings made this stay completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel.

I'm giving this hotel 2 star because our stay was very disappointing. We visited Venice during very hot weather, and our room did not have working air conditioning (or no air conditioning at all). It made the room extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in.|The service was just average. The staff weren't particularly welcoming or friendly, and overall we didn't feel valued as guests.|I can't say whether all of the rooms are like this, but it felt as though we were given one of the lowest-quality rooms in the hotel. Based on our experience, I wouldn't choose to stay here again or recommend it to others, especially during the summer months.

Access to the water bus stops and the train station was great. All the facilities were quite old, but still okay. The worst part, however, was the broken espresso machine at breakfast

We stayed the night here. The hotel is very conveniently located near Venice St Lucia train station. They are friendly and quite accommodating. The hotel is quiet though the outside is full of tourists. The room is comfortable and I highly recommend it.

This hotel is on Venice's main island and a short walk from the Santa Lucia station so the location is great. Unfortunately, that's about where the positive review ends.|The hotel cost £230 for one night (yes it was a busy period but before the biennale opened). It purports to be a 4* hotel but anyone expecting a 4* hotel will be gravely disappointed. |The room, bedlinen, towels were clean but everything else was shabby and worn. |Some important, some small minor details but not 4*.|The electrics were old. There were no plugs to charge a telephone or computer next to the bed or anywhere in the room apart from one near the door and one in the bathroom. The cover of the bathroom light looked scorched, one of the wall lights flickered, the furniture was old and chipped, the upholstery on the one chair seat in a double room was worn. One window was inexplicably sealed shut.|The obligatory notice indicating the emergency exit had been removed from the door (or fallen off) and was in the wardrobe. The wall was so thin I could clearly hear the conversation of the people in the next room at 6.30am.|In the bathroom, the toilet was a squeeze in the corner facing the end of the bath (impossible for anyone with long legs to use without contortions!) and the seat was loose. |Breakfast was OK. |The young man at reception who checked me in was pleasant, polite and extremely helpful as were the porters and cleaning staff. |The older man who checked me out was extremely rude. And not just me. A colleague staying in the same hotel confirmed he was also rude to her.|A very disappointing stay.

Very rundown, needs a refurb. Room smelled of damp. No tea/coffee making facilities, only x4 sockets in the room. €3 for a bottle of water from the mini bar. Breakfast was horrible! We would only recommend this hotel for its very good location, but advise avoiding due to the above observations. Loved Venice, but this hotel is one to avoid.

This is a great hotel with very good location and atmosphere. Many shops and tourist POIs around. The rooms are beautiful, the service the absolute professional the welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and the garden is amazing. Thank you for the experience!

Not far from the train station. Great help from concerge in finding great restaurants and getting transfer from Venice to Ravenna (2.5 hour drive) to get to NCL ship for our 7 night cruise if the eastern Mediterranean.
