An absolutely beautiful and elegant hotel that truly deserves its 5-star rating. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff and an impressive level of attention to detail throughout our stay. A special mention to Kai and Kristina, who looked after us so well at breakfast. Their service was outstanding — professional, warm and attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A fantastic experience from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended.

Our overall experience at the hotel was absolutely fantastic — from the beautiful building and facilities to the service and, most importantly, the wonderful people. From the very first moment, when I called the hotel from the car while we were on the road, after we spontaneously decided to visit Vienna, we were met with a warm, friendly, and professional approach. Despite our last-minute plans, everything was handled with great care and efficiency, and we immediately felt very welcome. Throughout our stay, we genuinely felt that we were in very good hands. It was clear that everyone cared about making our experience as enjoyable as possible, and this made a real difference to us as a family. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who took care of us during our stay — from the Front Office and Housekeeping to the Kitchen team, as well as everyone who looked after us at the lobby bar and during breakfast. Every interaction was friendly, professional, and thoughtful, and we truly appreciated the care and attention we received throughout our stay. A special thank you to Dominik and Alexandra from the Front Office for their warm welcome, kindness, and professionalism. Their approach made a particularly lovely impression on us. We warmly recommend this hotel and would be very happy to return with our family the next time we visit Vienna. Thank you for a wonderful stay — we look forward to coming back!

Five stars aren't quite enough to describe our recent two-night stay celebrating our anniversary at the Anantara Palais Hansen. From our very first inquiry, the hospitality was flawless—the guest relations team was wonderfully responsive and helped us resolve all our pre-arrival queries promptly. The Room & Service|Upon learning we were celebrating a special occasion, the hotel generously upgraded our room. Walking in to find personalized surprises and thoughtful anniversary decorations set the tone for an incredible stay. The room itself was stunning, but the housekeeping team truly elevated the experience. Every time we stepped out, we returned to a flawlessly tidied space. Their attention to detail was top-tier—drawing the curtains before evening while we were out, and even elegantly coiling our charging cables. Amenities & Dining|Every facility across the property operates at the absolute highest standard. We treated ourselves to a session at the spa, which offered exceptionally relaxing treatments that were fantastic value for money. Dining was equally impressive. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the bar staff were consistently warm, professional, and ready with fantastic recommendations tailored to our tastes. The Verdict|What truly sets this property apart is its people. Every single staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, and eager to help. They made us feel celebrated from start to finish. If you are visiting Vienna for a special occasion, look no further—we cannot wait to return!

Anantara Vienna exceeded our expectations We usually stay with other luxury hotel brands such as Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and Meliá, and although I had been following Anantara and its properties for quite some time, we had never actually had the opportunity to stay at one. I was therefore very curious to finally experience the brand — and I arrived with quite high expectations, mainly because we know Thai standards very well. Anantara Vienna did not disappoint. In fact, I left more than impressed. We stayed in a suite, which was absolutely beautiful, elegant and luxurious, with an impressive attention to detail and a generous selection of amenities. Even something as simple as the minibar was exceptionally well thought out: fully stocked with a great variety of beverages and accompanied by every type of glassware you could possibly need. It is a small detail, but one that says a lot about the level of thought that goes into the guest experience. You genuinely feel that everything you might need is already there. The entire hotel was also immaculately maintained. The level of cleanliness throughout the property was exceptional — everything, everywhere, was spotless. What impressed us perhaps even more was the staff. They were extremely well trained, polished and genuinely courteous throughout our stay. We did have one unfortunate incident at the spa when another - very rude - guest brought five small children into the pool area, which completely changed the atmosphere and ultimately made me decide to leave. However, what could have remained a negative experience actually became an example of excellent hospitality. The spa manager quickly reached out to check on me, and from that moment on we genuinely felt that the team wanted to make sure the incident did not define our stay. A special mention has to go to Reyner, the Guest Relations Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt looked after and that our stay remained a wonderful and memorable one. His attention and professionalism made a real difference. We also had massages at the spa and thoroughly enjoyed them. If you have the opportunity, look for the Thai massage therapist — she was excellent. And finally, a very well-deserved mention for Adam, the barista at Theo’s: he makes the best coffee in the hotel! Our first experience with Anantara ended up exceeding the already high expectations we had for the brand. Beautiful surroundings and luxurious facilities are important, but what ultimately distinguishes a great luxury hotel is how it makes its guests feel — particularly when something doesn't go perfectly. Anantara Vienna handled that exceptionally well. I will definitely go back to Vienna and stay at Anantara again. Hopefully they will change policies at the spa, it is not a place for kids' parties. And please, remember to blackout our windows properly at our next stay - we need to sleep well so we don't get cranky 😉

A magnificent hotel in the heart of Vienna. The breakfast is exceptional — one of the finest we have had on our travels. We were pleasantly surprised by an unexpected upgrade to a suite, complemented by a warm welcome of water, juice, and champagne. A truly thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire stay. As a developer of luxury projects, the design and quality of the property did not go unnoticed — every detail reflects a high standard of hospitality. The location is ideal — just a 5-minute walk to the waterfront, making it effortless to explore the city. We will absolutely be returning as a family. Highly recommended.

We have arrived a few hours ago but from the second we walked in could already tell this is a superb hotel. The building is fabulous, and the service so far from the concierge (who emailed before we arrived to arrange things for us), the check in staff and the porter has been simply flawless. The room itself is perfect, tasteful and modern with comfy beds, luxuriously crisp linens and towels, plenty of closet space and all seamlessly arranged to ensure the utmost comfort. It is just beautiful and calm and housepeeking have thought of absolutely everything in terms of room amenities. Additionally the welcome treats, the Edmund de Waal book, the chocolates, pillow spray, snacks and drinks, everything has been extraordinarily thoughtful. This is an outstanding experience, even by 5 star hotel standards. Cannot recommend it enough!

We stayed at Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna for our anniversary trip and had a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, luxurious and immaculate. Our room was excellent, breakfast was superb and we really liked the location. It was peaceful and away from the busiest tourist areas, but still very easy to get around Vienna. What really made the stay special, however, was the staff and level of service. The gentleman on the concierge desk was absolutely brilliant. I could simply tell him what type of food or experience we were looking for and he would recommend a few excellent options, help arrange everything and even have our limousine ready for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble. He made our time in Vienna incredibly easy and allowed us to simply enjoy ourselves rather than worrying about organising things. I also have to mention the gentleman and lady working at the bar in the evenings. They were exceptional. They always made sure our drinks were taken care of, but it was the small personal touches that impressed us most. Every so often they would stop for a few minutes to have a conversation with us and check that we were enjoying ourselves. It never felt forced or intrusive – just genuine hospitality. We visited several other five-star hotels, restaurants and bars during our time in Vienna, which made us appreciate even more how good the service at Anantara was. Before the trip we considered several of Vienna's leading luxury hotels. Having now stayed at Anantara Palais Hansen, we are extremely happy we chose it. Beautiful property, excellent facilities and, most importantly, outstanding people. Would we stay again? Absolutely, without hesitation. Anantara Palais Hansen will be our first choice when we return to Vienna. Thank you to the entire team for helping make our anniversary trip so memorable.

Elegant hotel with perfect service. The staff is really welcoming and attentive. The highlight of the stay was Edvard restaurant with Michelin Star dinner. Breakfast are also tasty and rich in options - you can benefit with ala carte breakfast. Spa has small pool but nice sauna section. I would recommend it for adults and couples. Guest service helped me a lot with Dominik being so nice. Thank you!
