We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Wanaka. We are Wyndham Club members and love the friendly welcome from staff and the welcome drink on arrival. We stayed in room 108, a 2 bedroom apartment. The view over the pool was great and the apartment is super spacious. The heating worked amazingly as we stayed in winter. Our boys loved the pool and water slide even in winter. The outdoor spa was amazing and warm. It fits plenty of people as swell. The view to the mountains from the balcony were stunning at sunrise and sunset and all day long to be honest. We had dinner at the on site restaurant and the food was lovely. Good portions and cooked really well. The e-bikes were great for a quick and easy ride down to That Wanaka tree. Quick 5 minute drive to the Main Street for food and groceries at New World. Look forward to starting again.

Our 2nd time staying here, and lovely to see the pool area has been renovated. The room was lovely and warm. Be aware that there are no lifts to the second storey rooms, so you must be comfortable lifting luggage up the concrete stairs. Comfortable bed and situated on the outskirts of town, meant we had a lovely relaxing sleep.

Good location. Will need a car to get to town though. Approx 25min from Cardrona entry with no traffic. Studio is a room with a bar fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle no kitchen no sink, no cooking facilities. Very small bench. Ok to make toast or heat up a prepared meal - wash the dishes in the bathroom sink with the camp portable pop up sink (supplied) sitting in it. Other than that the place is very clean and quiet and the parking is free and convenient. Value for money.

The hotel is around 2 km from the the center, what I love about the hotel was the facility, free mountain bikes, free laundry service, and there was hot pool which was very nice after a nice hike at Roy’s peak or ski. There is a small gym and sauna on site.

First time to Wanaka travelling for work. Matt and his team were amazing. Great food, great atmosphere, amazing service and facilities. Matt and Molly were happy to help with recommendations for food in the area however the quality of meals in the restaurant made me stay and eat in house most nights.

the great: - comes with FREE!!!! laundry & dryer & detergent!!!!!! omgggg we can wash all our clothes finallyyy! after hiking & spending so many days out and about - service 10/10, friendly staff and they were all quite efficient! - ordered a random salmon dish from their restaurant & yum yum yum yum - all the standard things like clean, spacious, roomy not so great: - my gawd was it COLD in there!!! the room had no heater so inside the room itself it as ssuuperrr cold! (stayed from May 27-29, 2026) - but!!!! i have to add that the big comfy bed came with heating, a heating bed! and we turned it on and in the middle of the night we were sweating lol

An outstanding place to stay in Wanaka. We have stayed many times and never been disappointed. Walkable to town if required but we hire a car to get around. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. No noise at all although we do ask for a unit facing away from the pool.

Obviously this place does not need my review, it's a lovely place. The review is to clarify misleading info we found online and some in person confusion... 1. There is laundry! And it's free! They have 2 washers and 4 dryers, although 2 of the dryers are currently broken. 2. They had the biggest hot tub of the trip. There is ample room for 6+ couples. That said, none of us could find the bubble button and the bubbles were on when we got in. It's very dark near the hot tub too. Good luck to ya! 3. Do the water slide! The on switch is at the top on the left and is on a timer. 4. If you go in the steam room and it seems not too hot, the controls are kind of hard to figure out, read the sign in the hallway and hold that button down to get it to turn on and make sure the other switch is on, there's two switches. It is also on a timer. 5. Skip the skimpy breakfast buffet, although the staff does a lovely job and the room is so quaint. it is tiny so you can hear everyone's conversations, and you can get far better food cheap in town. 6. The room had the only ceiling fan we had on the trip, we loved it! 7. They have 2 Spring water fillers! One is in the lobby and one is in the gym, another rarity on our trip, we didn't see 2 anywhere else.
