Overall, we had a great experience. The staff were incredibly attentive, available, and truly accommodating throughout our stay — nothing felt like too much trouble. We were offered a complimentary photo shoot in traditional clothing, which gave us a beautiful picture album to keep as a memory of the trip. It was such a thoughtful touch! The one area for improvement is the hotel’s structure — it could use some maintenance, particularly in the bathroom. That said, between the warmth of the staff and the unique experiences on offer, we’d definitely recommend it.

Went back to the same hotel for the general experience of better accommodation for the price. 2nd stay was better. Eventhough quiet room was specifically requested, a broken seal with the soundproof windows in our allotted room was pointed out when my hubby’s day nap was disrupted by general road noise. They promptly relocated us a quiet room facing the pool. Definitely choose pool facing room for quiet. Needless to say, service was great. Enjoyed their breakfast and its only 5mins ride to reach Tugu station. Either to catch the airport link train ride to YIA airport like we did, or train to anywhere including Jakarta.

Location is great and is in a nice location. There is a large local supermarket next door with several ATMs. Largest amounts you can typically get out is 2 million per transaction and at the end of the day machine are empty. The hotel rooms are nice and breakfast really extensive with a really large variety! The nasi goreng is really good. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and feels like an oasis in a busy city. Downside, there are too few beds. People has to lay on the grass. Also some beds had soft mats on them, others didn’t. We had several times that towels were finished and we had to wait. Not super professional. For the rest a great stay.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Meliá Purosani Yogyakarta and we can't wait to return. From the moment we arrived, every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. The service throughout the hotel was exceptional, and everyone was warm, friendly, and professional. A special thank you to Wawan at the check in/out counter, who was incredibly kind, polite, and helpful. He made our departure just as enjoyable as our arrival and is a real credit to the hotel. Also the lovely ladies at The Suite at breakfast, so beautiful, polite and genuine. We stayed in a suite, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family of four. Everything was well maintained, and it made our stay even more relaxing. The pool was another highlight. It was fantastic for both children and adults, giving everyone a chance to enjoy themselves. The only small downside was that it could sometimes be difficult to find pool towels, but this was only a minor issue. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. The outstanding staff, beautiful accommodation, and family-friendly facilities made our stay unforgettable. Thank you to the entire team—we're already looking forward to our next visit!

The hotel is wonderful. If you come here, don't forget to take a moment to do a photo session at Loft Moment Experience. They are great, very kind and professional! We had a lot of fun taking pictures in traditional clothes and the pictures are stunning! Great experience!

Had a great stay at Melia Purosani Yogyakarta 🌴 We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. All the staff were very friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist, which made our stay very comfortable. Our room included access to The Level Lounge, and the service there was excellent. It was great to enjoy drinks and snacks throughout the day in a relaxed and comfortable setting 🍹 The restaurant El Patio, located in the hotel, offers delicious dishes and also provides excellent service — definitely worth trying. We also enjoyed a full body massage in our room, which was of very high quality and very relaxing 🧖‍♂️ Another highlight was a photoshoot with Loft Moments in traditional clothing. The service and personal attention were amazing — special thanks to Nana and the team! Overall, this hotel offers a great experience with excellent service and very friendly staff. We would definitely recommend staying here

This was a great hotel choice for our stay. Well located close enough to most downtown places of interest, yet an oasis with the lovely pool area, decent gym, nice bar and good restaurants. Staff are amazing. Special shout out to Valen, Engel, Saffa and Salen. So attentive. Room service were also excellent. We had the package that included daily Level 6 ‘High Tea’ which included beer, wine and cocktails plus lots of good nibbles as well as an alternative location for breakfast. We made great use of this. With alcohol quite expensive here this was a great bonus! It also meant we didnt need dinner some nights. The breakfast is incredible. Would definitely recommend this hotel and the Level 6 option.

The Meliá is in the perfect location for exploring Yogyakarta, it is a short walk to Malioboro Street as well as being close to the Kraton and other major tourist sights. The staff are excellent which is a common theme in Indonesia. There is also a well equipped gym which was very quiet the times I used it. Breakfast was very good with a vast array of options available. The rooms had a jaded feel about them, as if some renovation was required. Our hairdryer didn’t function property, the bathroom sink and bath drained slowly, the bathroom was generally in need of maintenance and replacement. Whilst the rooms were large and generally comfortable it felt more akin to a three star hotel. WiFi was slow and patchy at times. I’m happy to have chosen the hotel due to its location but there may be smarter alternatives in Yogyakarta.
