We stayed 1 night at Hotel du Chareau and found it to be a very pleasant small hotel to stay at, especially with it's location in the Old Town neighborhood. The room was comfortable and clean, although not particularly large, if you were staying for more than 1 or 2 nights. The views from the hotel patio deck, overlooking the Old Town neighborhood are very good, and the patio is excellent for sitting in the sun. Continental breakfast was nothing special, but fully adequate, reasonably priced, and convenient.

Yes, the road to the Hotel is steep and can be a challenge for those with mobility issues. It is a great location with beautiful views, clean & comfortable rooms, very hospitable staff. I would stay here again and I would recommend it.

A sweet little gem and an excellent value for location and atmosphere. I booked a single room with no AC and stayed two nights during May's unusual heat wave. My tiny little room (#8) with tiny little bathroom was perfect - well thought-out, very comfy bed, super clean, and that coveted rarity in European hotels - an electric fan! I left the window open at night and it was surprisingly quiet, for being a weekend and right in the Old Town. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, including booking a departure taxi for me. Its a 15-18 euro taxi from the train station if you are not into climbing hills with your luggage on hot days. A very solid choice for Old Town Annecy - I loved it!

What a great find! Just under the chateau and easy access to old town and lake. Great rooms with most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Hreat outside seating ares, super breakfast available and really lovely couple who run the Hotel. Definitely be back

Great cute place! Fits the vibe of a mountain town chalet. The views from our window were probably the best I've had. The resident cat and dog were a bonus for my kid to see daily. The locations is perfect. It's on a hill and if you go down, the Palais and main area/canal and tons of restaurants are right there. Going up the hill every day may not be easy for everyone.

The only good thing about this place is the location. Our room was small bathroom tiny, no AC In a hot Summer day, no bar. Very unfriendly staff. Not reccomended

Amazing place to stay in Annecy. Don’t think it twice. They are right inside the city centre, walking distance to everywhere and they have free parking!! (Only a few parking spots but it wasn’t an issue to park) Rooms are lovely and breakfast was good and decently priced.
