Posada del Angel was everything we hoped for and more. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with so much charm and character. Every night, the walkway was lit by small candles, creating a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. We stayed in the Presidential Suite upstairs, which had our own private terrace. One of my favorite memories of the entire trip was sitting up there one evening with a glass of wine and watching Volcán de Fuego erupt. It honestly doesn’t get much better than that! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. And the breakfast was delicious! You can enjoy it in the quaint dining room or upstairs on the terrace, where we had our own private section. The location was perfect — close enough to easily walk to the main square and explore Antigua, but just far enough away that you’re out of the hustle and bustle. The hotel felt peaceful and private, which was exactly what we wanted. Antigua itself was beautiful, clean, and incredibly friendly. The streets are all cobblestone, so plan your shoe choices accordingly, especially if you’ll be doing a lot of walking. We absolutely fell in love with the city and already know we’ll be back. And when we do, we will definitely be staying at Posada del Angel again. ❤️

This hotel is gorgeous, tranquil and definitely fits the boutique vibe. For most people booking here, I assume it’s perfect for their needs! If, however, you are splurging for a night here, or are a budget traveler, I would pick another place. The staff was friendly of course , but they do seem more accustomed to a more relaxed polished cliental. Based on past reviews I had expected more personal touches, or prompt assistance when planning shuttles. The room was beautiful for sure, but there was soap residue on the shower door, only 2 smaller water bottles provided ( extra in a dispenser in the lobby) and more bugs than I witnessed in other cheaper stays. Breakfast was very good, and wish I could’ve enjoyed the property more. Overall, it’s a beautiful stay and most people would be so happy relaxing here and enjoying the property. But I think for lower budget travelers, I would recommend other stays in the area.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at, period. Our room and bathroom was stunning, the pool and sitting area are lovely, and the rooftop area where you can eat breakfast with views of the volcano are breathtaking. The care from the staff was excellent. They helped me arrange transports from Lake Atitlan and to the airport, and provided a vegan breakfast for my husband and I. They were so caring and welcoming. My only regret is that we did not have a longer stay at this hotel. It is truly a gem, and I highly, highly recommend it to anyone coming to Antigua. If I ever get the chance to visit Antigua again, I will absolutely book here. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Posada del Angel is a hidden gem. It’s beautifully decorated in traditional Antigua style, overall a very intimate vibe. We stayed at the Rose Suite and the private terrace with volcano views was lovely. Very cozy common areas. I’d gladly come back and stay a few more days.

You will not be disappointed if you book this hotel. It’s in a wonderful location and it’s a great place to sleep. It’s quiet. We stayed in the Rose Suite. It’s the most private and spacious. You can hear the wonderful tropical birds and the food is wonderful. The breakfast is included in the room price. The gardens and terrace are beautiful and very romantic. All of the windows function so you can get fresh air and the air-conditioning works great there’s even fireplace. They made us a fire one night. It was perfect. You can see all the mountains and volcanoes surrounding. The staff are top-notch every single person we interacted with was kind pleasant and had excellent language skills. There may be an occasional wedding nearby in the next venue, but they stop the music by 10 o’clock at night on a Saturday and it was completely quiet after that the rest of the night. The music was actually quite good. Really there’s nothing I would change about this place other than to stay more days. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The bed and pillows are so crazy comfortable too.

this might be one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. The whole place is GORGEOUS. It is so close to everything without being right in the middle of things. Comfy beds, great service from the staff. The breakfast was so delicious - fresh fruit and we had the omelette everyday. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Antigua.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The staff here were very nice, the grounds and room were beautiful, and it felt cozy and quiet. They had delicious complimentary breakfast which we enjoyed on the rooftop terrace. The biggest drawback was the WiFi, which ranged from spotty to non-existent for part of our stay, and the lack of AC, which meant open windows and mosquitoes. But the charm is undeniable.

Everything about this boutique hotel is classy! The welcome from ARIBAL immediately made us realize we chose a very special place in Antigua. The decore throughout the hotel was so beautiful with traditional weavings, ceramics, and interesting books. We loved the rooftop terrace on overlooking the city - a great place for a drink. The rooms were perfectly decorated and beds very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast in the darling room off the main part of the hotel. Coming in at night with the candles lining the hallway was so special. If you want a truly special experience in this beautiful town, this is definitely the place to stay.
