Pros Spacious, clean rooms with great bedding setup The rooms are noticeably spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with housekeeping provided daily upon request. The bed is large and comfortable. A sofa is available in the room, making it feel more like a serviced apartment than a standard hotel room. A fridge is included, which is a practical touch. Location is excellent The hotel's location is one of its strongest points — conveniently situated in the Silom area with easy access to dining, shopping, and public transport. Staff performance Staff at reception are generally okay and do their job adequately. Cons Deposit policy — outdated and inconvenient The hotel requires a 2,000 baht cash deposit at check-in, which is a significant drawback in today's travel landscape. Not all tourists carry that much cash, as most travelers now use digital payments or credit cards. Moreover, money exchange rates in the area come with unfavorable charges, making this requirement unnecessarily costly. This policy should be revised. Overly strict check-in time The 2:00 PM check-in restriction is far too rigid — even 5-star hotels are not this strict. This creates an uncomfortable situation for tourists who arrive even slightly earlier than 2:00 PM and are left waiting. Service and hospitality shortcomings Welcome drinks are not proactively offered by reception — you have to ask for them yourself. Reception staff lack initiative and could improve their hospitality communication style. They come across as too robotic and transactional rather than warm and welcoming. I even witnessed reception staff shouting at another guest during check-in over the 2,000 baht deposit issue — a very uncomfortable scene to witness and an unacceptable way to speak to paying customers. Room condition and maintenance issues Walls are too thin — noise from neighboring rooms is clearly audible. Shower water pressure is very weak. The shower handle is broken. Electrical sockets are hard to find and placed at very inconvenient spots. The room door is extremely hard to open, appearing old and broken. Building infrastructure Only one small elevator is available, resulting in long waits to get to or from your room. The building as a whole looks dated and in need of renovation. Overall The i Residence Silom Hotel offers genuinely spacious, clean rooms in an excellent location at what is presumably a reasonable price point. However, the outdated cash deposit policy, overly rigid check-in time, poor hospitality training among front desk staff, and numerous maintenance issues (thin walls, broken shower, weak water pressure, inconvenient outlets, faulty door, single slow elevator) significantly detract from the experience. The building itself feels old and tired. With better staff training and a serious round of renovations, this hotel could live up to the potential its location and room size suggest — but as it stands, the cons may outweigh the pros for many travelers.

My friend and I stayed here during our trip to Thailand, and we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this accommodation. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast it was delicious, and they offered a different variety of food every day. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. Another great advantage is the location it is conveniently located right in front of Chong Nonsi BTS Station, making it very easy to get around Bangkok and visit tourist attractions. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily choose this hotel again on our next trip to Thailand.

I had a pleasant stay at I Residence Hotel Silom. The location is excellent, with easy access to the BTS Skytrain, restaurants, convenience stores, and many attractions around the Silom area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the room was clean, comfortable, and offered good value for money. Check-in and check-out were smooth, making the overall experience hassle-free. One thing future guests should note is that the hotel is located close to a main road, so traffic noise may be noticeable, especially in rooms facing the street. Light sleepers may want to request a quieter room. Overall, a good stay.

Perfect for Business Trips, Extremely Convenient Location I frequently travel for business and always choose to stay at this hotel. The location is incredibly convenient—it sits right on the main street, directly beneath the BTS station, and right next to a 7-Eleven. The rooms aren't huge, but they are fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, the housekeeping could be improved, as the floor was a bit dirty and quite dusty during my stay. The TV and Wi-Fi connections are decent and reliable enough for what I needed. The breakfast buffet is a highlight, offering a diverse and nutritious selection of food. The staff are exceptionally attentive and meticulous, constantly wiping down surfaces and cleaning to keep the dining area completely hygienic. One tip for future guests: Make sure to bring some cash with you, as the hotel requires a cash deposit upon check-in.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent, parking is convenient, and the staff provided truly exceptional service. Our room was clean, comfortable, and made for a relaxing stay. The breakfast spread was quite good, though I noticed the serving pans used on the buffet line were old with peeling non-stick coatings, which should definitely be replaced for health and hygiene standards. Additionally, some bath towels were quite worn out with frayed and torn edges. With a few minor updates to the amenities and cookware, this hotel would be perfect!

Great location and mostly friendly staff, had a tough interaction with the receptionist over a neighbouring room being loud and disrespectful. Waiting staff and doorman lovely. Good buffet selection for breakfast and across the road from BTS station and near massage, 7/11 and hair salon. Room wise is very outdated and grey/dull. Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable so only ideal if not in the hotel a lot. Nice pool with a shower and good room service options. Overall would give 3/5 for location and staff but rooms bring it down

IMPORTANT to those who coming to Thailand for work (applying for visa & work permit). This place is 150% not recommended. They will not provide you the TM.30 as they said it against their policies while every other hotels can provide this just fine. In conclude expat needed to leave and checked-in at another hotel (and they can provide TM.30 just fine). The staff on phone also not welcome. When we asked for the information or any proof, the staff kept repeating no without any explanation (and we think there is a better way to put it or at least listen to what we really want). If you choose to do a service job, please improve your attitude and manner. Do not come here for work!!

I booked this hotel and only afterward started reading the reviews. I was worried by comments about a moldy smell in the rooms, because we were traveling with a small baby and that would have been a disaster for us. I contacted the hotel in advance and asked the staff to treat the room with an ozone machine. I don’t know whether it was actually done or not, but our room smelled wonderful — not even a hint of mold. The air conditioner was quiet enough that I didn’t even need to use earplugs, whereas in some other hotels I couldn’t fall asleep because of the noise. I was more than satisfied with the breakfasts — both Thai and European cuisine were available. There was also a coffee machine, which is something you don’t find in every hotel. Fresh fruit and ice cream were provided as well. I also enjoyed the view of the metro station — while having a relaxed breakfast, it was fun watching the life of the city go by. We really loved the pool area, especially in the evening. The lights of the skyscrapers were stunning :) The pool itself was also very nice. Yes, the hotel is a little outdated, but when you stay only for a couple of days, it’s not really a big issue. The water pressure was excellent, and I didn’t notice any sudden temperature changes, which was very important for us because of the baby. The only thing I would suggest replacing is the shower curtain 😁 — it looked quite worn out. The staff were very kind and friendly. At breakfast they brought coffee and omelets directly to the table, and at the reception they helped us print a couple of documents. Thank you for a wonderful couple of days in our favorite city ❤️
