We ended up staying at this hotel after our car broke down on the highway, and what started as a stressful situation turned into such a positive experience thanks to the amazing staff. The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views, and it offers a continental breakfast that has everything you’d expect for a good start to the day. The rooms were comfortable, and everything was exactly what we needed. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the people. I especially want to recognize Carolina and Catarina. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to help us. Traveling with two young children while dealing with an unexpected car breakdown was incredibly stressful, but they made us feel welcome, cared for, and supported every step of the way. They were kind, patient, flexible with our needs, and genuinely wanted to help. They didn’t just do their jobs—they exceeded every expectation we had. It’s rare to come across such heartfelt hospitality, and they completely changed what could have been a very difficult experience for our family. Thank you, Carolina and Catarina, for your kindness and professionalism. We will always remember how well you treated us, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not only a comfortable place to stay, but also outstanding people who truly care about their guests.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it has everything you would need. I personally like hotels like this that are a bit older .. it means the rooms are larger, and value is better. But what TRULY set my stay here apart from anywhere else were the amazing young ladies of the reception area. Catarina and Carolina took excellent care of us when we were in a truly distressing situation with 2 young kids. They were so kind, patient, and generous with their efforts. We hope to be back soon with our 2 kids to say hello, as they have left us with a lasting impression after just a single evening at the hotel. The location of the hotel is great - the views are beautiful - the continental breakfast is fine. I recommend the hotel.

The hotel seems better from outside than it is inside. The location is very quiet and peaceful, right in the middle of Bom Jesus Park, in front of a lake, but some 15 min away by car to Braga's city centre. The room was ok, nothing fancy, needing some renovation, but spacious enough, clean and confortable. The price was very good (45€ for a double with breakfast). Staff was ok, friendly and always ready for providing information but without the elegance and the standard that a real Concierge should have.

Avoid, not good at all in 2026. The hotel gave us two single beds instead of a double bed. When I asked in reception regarding this issue I was told our booking says “twin or double bed” which are two different things. When we booked this, the photos show double beds which is quite deceiving. Once in the room, they provide very little shower gel - sample size - which is not even enough for 1 shower. The water temperature fluctuates in between hot and cold. The pillows provided are only 2 very small. Never seen a hotel where the number of pillows is the same as the number of guests. No sockets near the bed side table and the lighting inside of the room isn’t great either. Another issue is the breakfast that has no decent protein sources. There are no eggs! Not scrambled, not boiled, no sunny side up. Zero eggs. Just cereals and croissants. The fruit it’s canned fruit - pineapple and peaches submerged in an unhealthy syrup. I cannot recommend due to my bad experience.

The rooms were decent, but there were a few downsides. The shower temperature fluctuated between cold and hot. The air conditioning was blowing warm air, as it was centrally regulated, and despite asking if it could be adjusted, nothing changed. The location, however, was beautiful situated on top of the mountain with a lovely park in front and close to the Dom Jesus do Monte. Aside from that, there wasn’t much else to do in the immediate area. Breakfast was nice!

The park ist very nice, as well as the view . |The hotel did not provide dinner, so we had to go to another hotel, half a mile down the road. Breakfast was ok. Dinner ...nothing for vegetarian and partly not nice.|Had ben a former pilgrim hostel...has exactly that charme!. Far away from everything......

Far from the city, in the middle of nowhere,up on a hill, if you don't come by car, it's very difficult to find. The staff is ok, the breakfast is very poor, no vegetables,coffee is bad.The park in front the hotel is quiet and nice if the weather is ok and not as foggy and rainy as it was during our stay
