Amazinggggg hotel experience. Some of these reviews seem like it was emotion based why they didn’t “like” it. But honestly, everyone was so sweet and kind. The room was cleaned well. We had an amazing view. And to people claiming racism, I am Latina and my husband is white and we didn’t experience any racism. We also have two young children who loved the outdoor pool and small playground area. Our son made so many friends. Breakfast is AMAZING! I know their quality of food is great. Next time we will get full board so we don’t have to leave the hotel at all. Haha Muito obrigada os todos! We love Meliã! I love the spa amenities. The sauna is amazing. Great gym! You can also have parking included in your stay and park in the garage. Uber picked us up super easy for a dinner one night out. Idk nothing negative to say… really. And some of yall let emotions get the best of you… like allowing one person to disrupt your whole experience is something to work on within yourself - the world is not a soft place , but Meliã is a soft place to land. Obrigada!!!

This not a 5 star hotel. No one to assist with baggage outside the hotel or on departure. The staff is does not have the attentiveness or customer service, of a 5 star hotel either. More in alignment with a 3 or 4. The room was clean and well maintained throughout the stay. Hotel bar food took a very long time to arrive. The breakfast in the morning was okay.

Extremely well located hotel with spacious and well furnished rooms. The Braga town centre and parque are reachable within 10-15 minutes. Excellent breakfast and warm service by most of the staff. The pool and recreation facilities are quite good as well.

Sensible room sizes. I had the queen suite. Had a bath and separate shower and toilet. Air con in the room and a comfortable (what felt like a) king size bed. I didn’t use much of the facilities apart from the breakfast which was a continental style buffet and a station where they make omelettes of your choosing along with bacon and mini sausages.

This hotel doesnt deserve 5stars. The room was not suitable for 3 sharing. 1 guest was on a camp bed even thou they paid the full rate. Bathroom facilities were in the bedroom basically. 1 door to slide between toilet and shower is rediculous!!! Robes for the Spa were supplied in the room but were taken after 1st day!!! Breakfast was crazy. Food was cold every morning unless you got the omelettes made fresh. The queue for these were ontop of the coffee n tea area so he was mayhem !! Coffee machines running out of water. No bowls or cups most mornings. Staff unhelpful and not very pleasant. Staff in the Spa very rude. Housekeeping took our cups after 1st day 3 calls to reception 2 hours before we got new ones. We were there for a wedding so alot of money was spent in this hotel over the week. It was not worth the money. Would definetely not return or recommend this hotel to anyone.

I had an outstanding experience thanks to the reception staff member, (Sara Peixoto) who was consistently helpful, kind, courteous, and remarkably patient throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and comfortable, handling every request with genuine warmth and professionalism. Their calm and attentive approach made a real difference, especially during busy moments, and it was clear they truly care about guests’ experiences. They are a true asset to the company and set a high standard for excellent customer service. Generally all staff were lovely kind and accommodating and chef makes a mean omelette 😋

Good functional hotel with a SPA but not well looked after! The staff did a good job but there was an air of indifference! The hotel is right next to a motorway! Not ideal for a holiday!

Unfortunately, this hotel does not meet 5-star standards. The room lighting was poor, electrical outlets were coming out of the wall, and overall maintenance was lacking. The bathroom had mold, which raises hygiene concerns. The bedroom had a connecting door to the adjacent room, which affected privacy. The food was acceptable but nothing special. Given the price and expectations of a 5-star hotel, I would not recommend staying here, as even lower-rated hotels can offer better cleanliness and maintenance.
