Campeche city offers terrible bang for the buck so I ended up booking this "affordable" and run-down hotel,located just next to the city centre. Unbearable sewage smell mixed with mold in the rooms on the upper floor. I dont know if there is a solution to that.

You get what you pay for. If you're traveling on a budget, it's okay for a short stay.The smell of mold was unpleasant but no wonder with the humidity. The streets are quiet, unfortunately not the hotel, it's very noisy when everyone is watching something on their cell phones all day and night.

This place was INCREDIBLY hard to find!! The address is listed backwards. Its actually on 16th street. I spent about 2hrs looking for it. Luckily the neighborhood people were incredibly friendly. The room itself had free wi-fi and a TV as well as a decent bathroom, but the windows faced an interior hallway and you can hear whatever's going on in the other rooms. Reception was lackluster at best, but the room was clean and offered a night's rest. I was driving through Campeche so for ONE night, this place was acceptable, but I would not have stayed more than one night even for the price.

The hotel it's ok, I think the best part is how close it is to the inner city . The staff is nice and friendly and you can leave your luggage with them after checking out is your flight leaves in the evening. The rooms are ok but since it is an old building it smells funny and there is humidity, on the good side is has a small fridge and air conditioning.

Booked in the internet before arrival. Having arrived to Campeche, first of all it was almost impossible to find the place as there is no sign or inscription on the building at all. Got a room with no window (all the rooms we got to see were without windows) but the staff showed us that there was air conditioning (outside temperature above 30 °C). Returning from our city trip at about 10pm, we figured out that the air conditioning in the room does not function. The same for the second room we got in exchange. It must have been due to the construction of the air conditioning and did not get any better after up to 15 min. We dicided we could not sleep in a room with no ventilation or window at these temperatures and decided to change hotels. The staff refused to give the money back and when he called his chief he lied about us not being willing to wait for a couple of minutes (I understand a bit of Spanish)... So, avoid this hotel. It's not worth a single peso!
