We stayed one night in this hotel. 3 to 4 minutes walk to the the entrance of Taj Mahal.|There are buggies that run at a charge of INR 25 per person. But not worth as early morning walk is much better. The hotel has three restaurants. Provides buffet breakfirst at a price of INR 350/- per person. A mid range buffet with about 4 to 5 main course with fruits and tea/coffee. Can see the dome of Taj Mahal from the balcany. Room is clean space sufficient for 2 people. If three are travelling, a double room is not good enough, thogh we managed, better to book a twin room. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Had hot water but no toileteries. Provids water bottles one per day. Has a kettle with tea bags, sugar and milk powder, all only for two people. If three in one room can get the extra. Provides a matterss. The food is good. They even pack and give. The packing is properly done, so can eat even late. There service is very good. However, little far from the main shopping area. Since we needed to be at the site by 5 am. we stayed at this hotel. Finally, it is worth for the money.

Hotel Taj Plaza Agra – ★★★★☆ We had a wonderful two-night stay at Taj Plaza Agra. We were delighted to be upgraded to a larger room with a stunning view of the Taj Mahal itself — waking up to that view each morning was truly unforgettable. A special mention to the manager, Mr. Vijay, who was consistently helpful and supportive throughout our stay. The entire staff was also very warm and welcoming, making our experience even more pleasant. Another big plus is the location — the hotel is just a short walk from the Taj Mahal, making it incredibly convenient to explore without worrying about transport. The hotel was clean overall, and the food was good as well. One area that could use some attention is the bathroom fittings, which felt a bit dated and could benefit from renovation. That said, it didn't take away much from an otherwise pleasant stay. Overall, a memorable experience with great service and an unbeatable view. Recommended!

What can I say. An experience at the very least. Let’s start with our “upgraded” room, may I add, with “no extra charge”. Firstly, hygiene and cleanliness isn’t in their vocabulary. Let’s start with the negatives:1. Stains and holes in the bedsheets2. No sheet cover, just a blanket from my grandmas era, covered in 18th century dust. 3. AC-there was a machine but we were told it didn’t work, so maybe for show? They did upgrade us with a mini desk heater. 4. Mould on the ceiling had been painted over. 5. Disco lights surrounding the bed. 6. Taps hadn’t seen a cloth since the dinosaurs. 7. Toilet was a disgrace. 8. Mouldy toilet roll and bin that hadn’t been cleaned or emptied since the renaissance .9. No hot water because everyone is out the whole day and nobody apparently comes back until 9pm. (They turn the boiler on at 7).10. Served mouldy bread at breakfast. Sent it back and received a butter-less and jam-less slice of untoasted bread. The restaurant “manager” claimed the bread was fresh and dismissed the mould. 11. The coffee had an oily film floating on the top. 12. Hair and grease in my food.13. Glimpsed at the kitchen and it looked like WW2.Now the positives. 1. Great location 👍🏾2. Great view of the Taj from the mess of a rooftop bar 👍🏾Should you stay here? You decide. If you do, take an exterminator with you. Oh and a duvet and pretty much everything else.

Stayed at Hotel Taj Plaza during our Agra trip and overall it was a decent, comfortable stay. The biggest plus is the location — it's within walking distance of the Taj Mahal, so no hassle with cabs or autos for that visit. It's also easily reachable from the railway station, and transport (autos/cabs) is readily available right outside the hotel for getting around the city. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The in-house restaurant was actually quite good — food quality was better than expected for a hotel this size. The rooftop is a nice touch too, you can catch a view of the Taj Mahal from up there, especially nice in the evening. For the price and location, it's a practical and hassle-free choice.

They should not be given any star rating. Very Disappointing Experience – Booking Not Honoured Extremely disappointing experience with Hotel Taj Plaza. We made a booking in advance and also paid the required advance amount. The booking was confirmed, but after reaching the hotel, the staff suddenly told us that the room was not available and asked us to wait. If the room was not available, why did the hotel accept our booking and advance payment in the first place? This is highly unprofessional and caused us a lot of inconvenience, especially after travelling and arriving at the hotel with a confirmed booking. A hotel should respect confirmed bookings and provide the room that has been paid for. Taking advance payment and then refusing to provide the room is completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend that people confirm the room availability carefully before making any advance payment here. Very poor management and customer service. I hope the hotel takes responsibility and improves its booking process.

⭐ 1-Star Review – Very Disappointing Experience We only visited Hotel Taj to try their restaurant, but unfortunately, we had a very bad impression right from the entrance. The place looked poorly maintained, with dust in several corners and noticeable hygiene issues. The rooftop area was particularly disappointing—it was very dirty, and water from the wash basin was flowing outside, making the overall environment uncomfortable. We were so put off by the condition that we left immediately without even sitting down or ordering anything. Hopefully, the management takes these cleanliness and maintenance issues seriously.

Great location walking to Taj East Gate, but dated rooms, small washrooms & peeling walls. Pure budget crash pad for a sunrise visit. 2.5/5.

The good thing about this hotel is it's close to taj mahal and it has taj facing room also. Other wise service is very bad, rooms are very dirty, toilet is most unhygienic and untidy. We complaint also but they r not responding. There is far better hotel on this road with this budget. Don't choose this hotel.
