Perfect place to stay with superior comfort in a family atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to be closer to the Taj Mahal. (Huge plus: the comfiest beds I’ve encountered in India!)🤩

I had a very pleasant experience at this stay . The rooms were spacious , clean and well put . The location of the stay being close to the Taj Mahal was an added bonus . The host was friendly, responsive and accommodating. The food served here was top notch , not too oily ,perfectly palatable .

The accommodation is excellent, very clean everywhere. All the staff are very helpful and make you feel comfortable and at home. The food is all home cooked and really nice. There is a menu in your room and you can ring the kitchen and your food is brought to you. It is within walking distance of the Taj Mahal with a simple route to get there. There is a SBI cash machine located on the road to the Taj Mahal too if you need cash during your stay. The accommodation is located on a quiet road which made it peaceful during my stay. I would thoroughly recommend Orchid Retreat Homestay.

We had one of the best experiences staying here with my family. From the moment we arrived, the owner told us, “It’s not a hotel, it’s your home,” and that truly reflected throughout our stay. The owner, Vikrant, is an extremely kind, genuine, and helpful person. He guided us very well during our visits to Agra, Mathura, and Fatehpur Sikri, making our trip smooth and enjoyable. A special mention to the home-cooked food prepared by Aunty—it was fresh, delicious, and gave us the comforting feeling of “ghar ka khana.” I would strongly and personally recommend The Orchid Retreat to anyone looking for a warm, homely, and memorable stay experience.

The home stay was a pleasant one with the owner being nice and helpful. He catered to our request for home made roti and sabji at short notice. Regarding cleanliness, the place was clean. Behind the homestay is a public park that allowed us to go for morning walk.

Wonderful stay with a loving and caring family: Me and my wife stayed at the Orchid Retreat, Agra from Feb 25th to 27th. The Retreat is at a walkable distance from the east gate of Taj, and hence extremely convenient for visiting Taj at sunrise. We had a wonderful time there. Our stay was quite comfortable and pleasant. Our room and attached bathroom were spick and span clean. We had three meals there during our stay. The home-cooked food was very good and was custom-made as per our choice. Vikrant Ji offered useful tips with regard to our sight seeing and purchase of the local specialities. We strongly recommend this home stay to everyone seeking a comfortable and rewarding stay in Agra.

In the name of garden view rooms, there is an abandoned mcd kind of park, no garden. And for parking, they will make you park your vehicle on road. And since there are so many monkeys in agra, the car may get damaged and very unsafe on road. The room kettle was very dirty, and they changed after after so much of argument. They will not do room service everyday, its on every alternate day. Gyser capacity was very small. So if you're to visit in winters, you might have to struggle to fill a bucket of hot water. Otherwise the room was fine

If one homestay deserves a good review, ​t​hat is Orchid Retreat. Since I was on my way to Agra, I was contacted by the host to arrange a pick-up at the train station. Upon check-in, Mr. Vikrant helped me reserve the train tickets to complete my India trip, and made useful recommendations to avoid being scammed. This homestay is small, which makes contacts with the host easier, and beautifully decorated. It is very close to Taj Mahal and in a good neighborhood. To be honest, I felt like home and would book it again if one day comes to Agra. They also provide dinner, and guests should definitely taste the delicious pottages the chef cooks. If you are planning a trip to Agra and want a wonderful stay, Orchid Retreat is all you need. And with its popularity, the small number of rooms get booked quickly.
