For dining near Trulli Barsento, I Profumi dal Ponte is a focacceria right on Via Barsento, ideal for a quick bite. In the town center, Trullo D'Oro on Via Felice Cavallotti serves traditional Pugliese dishes in a converted trullo, and La Cantina off Corso Vittorio Emanuele offers excellent local food. For a classic sandwich, try Focacciaria La Lira. The historic Rione Monti area, about a 4.1 km walk, is packed with restaurants and cafes, so you can easily explore options there.
Trulli Barsento sits in the countryside on Contrada Barsento, a quiet setting with the town of Alberobello a short distance away. The famous trulli districts, Rione Monti and Rione Aia Piccola, are about a 20-minute walk or a quick drive, where you can see the cone-roofed houses and local shops. The area is also close to the Acqua Splash water park, just a 23-minute walk, and the historic Trullo Sovrano is 3.6 km away. The surrounding Valle d'Itria is known for its whitewashed towns like Locorotondo, which are easy to reach by car. It is a peaceful base with the main sights and dining options of Alberobello within easy reach.
From Bari Airport or Bari Centrale station, take the Ferrovie Sud-Est train toward Alberobello, sometimes changing at Putignano. The station is about a 15-minute walk from the town center, and the hotel is in the countryside at Contrada Barsento, so a taxi or pre-booked transfer from the station is the practical way to reach it. By car, the drive from Bari takes about an hour via the SS96 and SP134. From Brindisi Airport, driving is the easiest option, roughly under an hour. Once you are near the hotel, the surrounding trulli countryside is best explored by car or bike.
In the evening, the historic center of Alberobello is about a 3.6 km walk from the hotel, where you can explore the trulli districts. For a drink or a bite, the Twin Bar Pub on Via Isonzo is a local spot, and I Profumi dal Ponte on Via Barsento is a focacceria nearby. The town's main sights, like Trullo Sovrano and the Rione Monti area, are a short drive or taxi ride away, and you can join an evening walking tour of the trulli. The hotel's own bar is a convenient option for a relaxed end to the day.
Trulli Barsento is a good base for exploring Alberobello, though the main trulli sights are a few kilometers away. The Trullo Sovrano is 3.6 km, Casa D'Amore 4.0 km, and the Territory Museum House Pezzolla 4.1 km, so you will want a car or a short taxi ride to reach them. For a quick nearby outing, Acqua Splash Alberobello is just a 23-minute walk away. The town's historic districts, Rione Monti and Rione Aia Piccola, are about 4 km from the hotel, making them an easy drive. With your own transport, you can comfortably explore the trulli and also venture to nearby towns like Locorotondo and Martina Franca.
