The hotel was on my list to visit for a while now. The restaurant has always been great but with the entrance of Spectrum’s restaurant manager at Morgan and Mees the level exceeds the already high expectations. Great diversity in the menu. Fantastic wine selection. The restaurant alone is a reason to visit. Now after my first hotel stay I am amazed by the level of service, both personal and professional. The room was spacious, the bed perfect. The bathroom and shower were great (good water pressure which isn’t assured in Amsterdam). Would definitely recommend the hotel if you visit or stay for business. I am definitely going back as soon as possible!

This is one of those boutique hotels that is centrally located within the city. All their rooms are custom designed. We were in one that was 2 stories. The downstairs was one bathroom and a sitting area and some cupboards. You have to climb a stairway to get to the upstairs loft where there's a comfortable bed and a AC unit. Very cozy setup. There is a view of the street from the big windows in the room. When we got there we were early for our check in time so they welcomed us into the chic bar area and served us premium coffee with cookies. The lady receiving us was super polite, pleasant and very welcoming. Genuinely warm and hospitable. Within half an hour we were led to our room and given a quick tour of our accommodations. Next day we got served a delicious breakfast made to order with unlimited premium coffee. Honestly this is a great place to check into if you are visiting Amsterdam. Good way to feel spoiled!

We stopped by Morgan & Mees for some late-afternoon snacks and, knowing that Filip Hanlo is the head chef, I came with quite high expectations. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to them. We ordered the scallop croquette, ribs, and fried chicken with caviar. The scallop croquette was the highlight — really well done, and the sauce complemented it beautifully. The ribs, however, were disappointing. The sauce was overly sweet and impossible to eat, the fried onions on top didn’t add much, and there was an excessive amount of sesame seeds, which didn’t seem to be toasted. Overall, the dish felt so simple and lacked the creativity I was expecting. The fried chicken with caviar was unfortunately also not good at all. The chicken had a noticeable old-oil taste, and while the caviar makes the dish look luxurious, the flavors simply didn’t work together. Even the fries were underwhelming, with a lot of tiny leftover-looking pieces rather than consistently good fries. Considering the price point and the reputation of Filip Hanlo, we expected a much higher level of execution and creativity from the food, even just the snacks, so unfortunately we didn’t feel it was worth the price at all. At the end of the meal, we were served colorful M&M’s with the bill. Unfortunately, this made the experience even more disappointing, as the overly sweet candy left an unpleasant taste and ended the meal on a negative note. Since it was the last impression, it unfortunately overshadowed the service.

We had a dinner at Morgan and Mees and even the "bitterballen" were of much higher quality than normal. However the Steak Tartare was the best we ever had. Also Wagyu caviar only 24 eur was something new I never had and the portion was great for me more than enough. Also he came to make a picture and the chef Filip Hanlo (Half dutch half mexican, is a great guy.)

We loved our 4 night stay at Morgan and Mees! The location was great right on the edge of Jordaan. We easily walked to most of our site seeing and dining in the city. The room was lovely and we were even offered a complimentary upgrade, we felt so special. I really appreciate how they refilled the coffee and water in the room each day at no extra charge, as this was not typical of most hotels in Europe. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even serving us espresso drinks early in the morning before officially opening their restaurant due to our early check out time to head to the airport. The price felt very appropriate and we will happily recommend this hotel to any other friends/family traveling to Amsterdam!

I visited on Saturday with my girlfriends and we had the best time! The atmosphere was so warm and lively. The service was outstanding, everyone was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had. They also have an excellent wine selection that paired perfectly with our meal. Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Lovely atmosphere, warm service, super diner! Great vibes at Morgan and Mees! We were really positively surprised about this spot in our own town! We know it as hotel, but it’s a fantastic place for lovely cocktails, very good wines and an attractive diner! We felt SO welcome! Very good service, a more than nice, young, dynamic team! Don’t hesitate…on these sunny days, check out their terrace!☀️🥂🍾 We will be back soon, thank you, team M & M❣️

Highly recommend! Very clean, modern comfortable rooms (I will be thinking about the bed for years to come). Great location - very walkable to some of the best areas of the city. Quiet - impressive considering the lobby restaurant was buzzing. Front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Kate went above and beyond.
