Excellent hostel. The room was clean from, from the bathroom to the locker and specifically the bed, pillow and bed linen. The general facilities are very inviting, friendly, clean, well taken care of. I visited with my father and sister and we three enjoy our stay and felt very comfortable. Even the food was very yummy. I widely recommend this accommodation.

The stay overall was okay, but the hidden costs are not mentioned, for example, my bags were to big to leave them in the locker room, so I left them outside and the other one in the locker but no one has informed that I had to pay for the separate luggage. You will need to better inform your guest about it.

We got a very nice room for our little family. We were provided with a baby crib, which we really appreciated. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful. Since our room was located in the building next to the reception and restaurant, it was very quiet and peaceful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was really professional and friendly! We would absolutely recommend this place to both young couples and families with children.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I was able to make a reservation at 1am and then check-in immediately after (2am). The dormitory room was clean and so were the bathroom and toilets, with everything refilled. When I arrived there were a lot of people playing games in the lobby. Altogether it was a great last-minute option for people who need a bed for the night. :)

For a hotel? Great. For a hostel? AMAZING! Great room, quiet and clean. Location is a bit out of the central city but it did mean it was quiet, and it's only a 5 mins walk to the nearest metro station. Thanks for a great stay!

My favourite hostel so far! I’ve been travelling a lot, and I have to say, this place was exceptional 👌🏼 The common areas are big and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and really clean, and the staff are so friendly ☺️ The metro is just a 5-minute walk away, and despite the hostel being quite busy, the area is surprisingly quiet. I honestly thought it would be noisy with so many people staying here, but we barely heard a thing :) We ended up staying longer than planned, which probably says it all! Highly recommend! 🤍

I honestly don’t know where to start, because there were so many things I loved about this hostel, but the team definitely deserves to come first. Everyone was incredibly loving, caring and helpful throughout my stay. I went through a few delicate moments while I was here, and the way the staff treated me made me feel genuinely safe, welcome and cared for. They were always kind and willing to help, and that made a huge difference to my experience. The food also deserves a special mention. The Dude Burger was absolutely delicious, and the four cheeses pizza is honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! I wasn’t expecting to eat this well at a hostel! I also loved all the common areas. Everything is so beautifully decorated, well-organized and thoughtfully put together, and there are so many cozy places to just sit, relax and enjoy yourself. The cinema became my little secret spot during my stay, and I ended up spending quite a bit of time there, it was such a lovely space. Overall, this was genuinely one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. I felt comfortable, safe and very well taken care of, and I’m leaving with a lot of good memories. A huge thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special. ❤️

i really loved my stay here despite some drawbacks! i came here for harry styles concert and stayed in a 4-bunk mixed dorm for 3 nights pros: -although it is located quite far from the city center, metro is very close and you can get anywhere you want. plus there’s a supermarket in 5-7 mins as well -the staff is SOOO cool! they made these days harry styles-themed and it made each one of the fans so happy. the staff organized a karaoke night, quizzes and a bunch of other activities:))) i hope they know how much we appreciated it -the kitchen is cool and common areas are amazing. what i really liked is that there’s also a laundry room cons: -these were the worst mattresses i’ve ever seen. they have a plastic-like cover and because it’s obviously very slippery, the sheets would always slip off and you would end up on a weird textured mattress while still being asleep (even if you really tried to tuck the bedsheets in). i found it profoundly disgusting:( -the ventilation system is awful and you cannot open the windows. i stayed in a room with 2 guys who stank. as i couldn’t beg them to take a shower, i had to breathe this air for my whole stay as the smell just wouldn’t go away -there were no curtains😭😭😭 AND I WAS THE ONLY GIRL IN A ROOM WITH MEN, i had to pay 8 euros for a towel to make an improvised curtain in general it was a great stay, one of the best ones in my life despite the abovementioned drawbacks. i would just really advise the staff to change the mattresses and add the curtains, especially for mixed dorms. if i was in a female dorm i couldn’t care less about the absence of curtains

Frequently asked questions about Amsterdam

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

The best time to visit is May through September, when temperatures are mild and pleasant, ranging from 17°C to 22°C. June and September are especially nice, with fewer rain days and lower humidity. July is the wettest month, while October and November are the rainiest and coolest stretches. Spring brings the famous tulip season, though the exact bloom varies.

Which area should I stay in in Amsterdam?

The Canal Ring, especially around the Nine Streets, suits first-timers who want to be near the main sights and shops. The Jordaan is a quieter, charming residential area with cafes and galleries, ideal for a relaxed stay. The Museum Quarter is best for art lovers, close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The city center around Dam Square is convenient for sightseeing and nightlife. Hotels like Hotel Estheréa, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, and Pulitzer Amsterdam are in the Canal Ring.

What are the must-see attractions in Amsterdam?

Start at the Rijksmuseum for Dutch masters and history, then the Van Gogh Museum next door for his iconic works. The Anne Frank House offers a powerful, personal look at WWII. Relax in Vondelpark, the city's main green space. For a different view, head to the A'DAM Lookout for panoramic skyline views, or explore NEMO Science Museum for hands-on exhibits.

What day trips can I take from Amsterdam?

Full-day tours from Amsterdam head to Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam and Marken for windmills and fishing villages; Bruges for its medieval canals; Keukenhof for tulips and windmills; Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague for modern architecture, Delftware and government sights; and Giethoorn for its car-free, canal-side village.

How many days do I need in Amsterdam?

Plan 3 days for the main sights: the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, Vondelpark, and the Royal Palace. Add a fourth day for NEMO Science Museum or ARTIS, and a fifth if you take a day trip to Zaanse Schans or Giethoorn. Two days would feel rushed for the top museums alone.
